I have been dressing up for a while now and love feel of sexy lingerie against body. I want to go to next stage, putting make up on, wig, high heels, boots, etc. Any advice, help where to buy things would be much appreciated, possibly someone to do make up for me first time?

EBay might be your best option for clothes

Join a dedicated TV site for starters. Forums there full of advice and there are professional makeover places listed too.

Clothes shops are a good place to buy clothes, as trying them on before you buy saves you a lot of return postage. And if you buy online and are married you'll be forever racing to get to the post before she does!

In a big city like Manchester you have all the anonimity you need to do it too. No one will laugh at you, no one cares, shop assistants have always been brilliant with me whether I present as Jodie or him. And I live in a backwater. In a place like Manchester with a large gay/trans scene they'll have seen it all before and not bat an eyelid.

But above all, most importantly and before anything else, shave all your body hair off and learn to walk in heels.

Here endeth the lesson.

YouTube will be your best friend! You'll be able to find lots of different tutorials and recommendations for makeup on there.

There are a ridiculous amount of variety of looks you can learn, and many even catered to men.

Dont wear a wig too low on the forhead go to a hairdresser and get a fringe cut in and feathered towards the face. so much more flattering

Don't ask any woman to help you with make-up, I don't have a bloody clue about it!

If you have any women for friends that you feel you can confide in, maybe ask the one whose style and make-up you like?

Invest in a good wig.

Sparkle weekend is great, lots of workshop and advice. Usually mid July.

Good luck x

Why not? I started with a brunette wig. Looked great from the rear (see pics) looked horrendous from the front.

I then moved into a blonde bob (I have very dark hair naturally) and everyone tells me how much better it looks.

'Misteresses' is the site I use for wigs. eBay for shoes and clothes.

Kryola paintstick is good for beard shadow. Also think about how far you wish to take it. Do you wish to go out in public, or stay inside closed doors, etc

I find a Rimmel concealer stick does the same job when coupled with No7 medium/full coverage concealer. You can get those on a high st Boots.

Thanks I've ordered the one Tina recommended. If it doesn't arrive in time I shall hit the high street.

I already manage to shave really closely. By missing a day I find I get a super smooth shave the next day before I oh out. I then pile on the foundation and powder but I really want to try a better method.

So thanks ladies xxxx

I find that my best look is to shave as close as possible with a three or four blade razor, apply orange lipstick in the beard/shadow area (orange cancels out the blue of the shadow area) massaging against the grain, apply a pan stick or foundation slightly darker than your normal foundation in the same area again massage against the grain then apply your normal shade foundation as usual. I would add that getting foundation right is the best thing to do, go and ask at a good make up shop the girls will test a few colours against your skin to find your best colour.
