Hair free tips please :)

Slightly boring i know but has anyone out there got any good tips for hair removal that doesnt leave you with awful looking (and feeling) razor burn - have tried veet and its ok but not a great finish - any advice appreciated

I've had the same wondering. ppl rave about a shaving powder on here but it was the sane finish as veet for me. I've decided that I'm gonna have to wax. its the only way to get it smooth. wish I could get it smooth and no razor burn like most people can.

I shave really quite regularly as I hate hair or prickly area's I can suffer with razor burn as I do shave a lot I use a men's razor with shaving oil works wonders for me give it a go I can't promise you that it will work for you but for me it really helps.

I like to shave in the bath with baby oil in it. No need for any saving gels or creams just razor on skin and it gives a lovely finish. Plus as oil locks in moisture no need to cream after if you are in a hurry

Use veet, but afterwards mousturise. There is also a product that you can buy that removes/lessens the rash but I can't remember the bloomin name now. Google it and I'm sure you will find it. Maybe in boots? I bought mine from HQ hair.

I tried an Epilator for a while was the most uncomfortable thing, waxing was less painfull and I hate waxing.

I Claire use a really good razor and oil works fine for me. I also use an old toothbrush and after each swipe of the blade I run the toothbrush over the cutting edge. It helps to keep the edge really sharp. Hope this helps.

I bought an epilator once but got told off by my then husband as he said it interfered with the tv downstairs Hurt like hell too so it ended up in the bin I now shave

I had a break from waxing over Christmas and went back to shaving. Within 3 days I was back with itchy stubble and a mild rash. I kept with it for maybe 2 months but still had the itchyness and irritation.

Went back to my waxer and I can say without doubt, I have not had an itch or irritation for near 3 weeks. Smooth as and soft to touch.

If it's your first waxing, get waxes that peel not strip with a cloth thing. There will be less harshness against your skin. My waxer uses Perron Rigot wax, so maybe google this for people in your area? On the first wax, be prepared for it to feel very sensitive for about 5 days. After that - it's smooth sailing for a month

I veet then exfoliate straight after using it then put baby oil on if I'm going out when I get home I use the spot pads and give it a wipe after Iv had a shower (obvious) and the germolene and a couple of days later I exfoliate stops spots and shaving burn if I do shave I use hair conditioner to shave with

I shave and use hair conditioner instead of shaving gel or the such like.

I'm allergic to veet and all them kind of creams

its a powder you add water to, make a paste with and apply it. It you leave it on too long it can burn - I'm not sure if you shave with it but people seem to be getting good results with it. Never tried it

Magic powder is veet in powder form. You mix it with water and use it in the same way.

I use an epilator, it does hurt to start with but the more you use it the easier it gets and you don't have to do it very often either which is a bonus

I also epilate my arms and legs. I have a trimmed bush that I tidy up round the edges with the epilator and I can safely say that doing some parts of my legs is more painful.

Shaving leaves me sore and have probs doing it myself tho gona try the conditioner trick... waxing is expensive and last one bodged me n made me bleed.. veet burns me

I used to have my fairy waxed at a salon, now i shave for convenience but waxing was better for me. Not the standard wax though, there's a new one that some salons use, they apply it directly to the skin, and pull it off when it sets. Doesn't hurt half as much!

If you're shaving, make sure the razor is sharp, use hair conditioner and i put a bit of cream on after to be double sure!!

I usually get waxed but lately have had problems with ingrown hairs which are really painful - much worse than the waxing, which I don't find too bad.

Yesterday I tried Magic Powder after reading recommendations in the forum. It was great!

I bought the platinum version, found it easy to mix and Mr Kink applied it to my nooks and crannies. Rinsed off in the shower and the result was really impressive.

I don't know how long I'll need to wait to re-do but first impression was very positive. No nasty burning hair smell and no sensitivity after.

Must add that I did a test patch a few days ago just to make sure it was ok.

I have one which cost £650, it lessened the hair thickness but can't say it even so much as slowed growth and I used it following all instructions for about 9/10 months.. Maybe it's just my heritage making my hair quite thick and stubborn

Have to say hair conditioner and shaving works a treat, leave it on a little while to soften the hair and if you choose one with added skin moisturiser all the better.

Myself and my partner have been shaving with it and never had a problem.
