Am I bad person for wanting to?

Of course I respect their decsion not to recieve mail so I sit in silence (until now) but is it bad to go to 'alternative measures' to enable communication with someone?

I know if everyone did it, it would be bad so essentially it isn't cool and make them pointless but is it really bad to try and evade them?

Before I get bashed too much, I'm talking people I have at least made contact in some way and confirmed mutual attraction.

If you've made some form of contact then why the need to break filters.

Personally I get pissed off when people break filters to message me

I think it depends on why the person doesn't want to receive the messages, maybe they aren't in the right place to meet at the moment.

If there's mutual attraction hopefully they will contact you in due course.

Things on here aren't necessarily what they seem though & can be easily misconstrued.

Well if, for example, you create a new account in order to message someone they still have the option of blocking/reporting that account.

If FS really wanted to crack down they could restrict the number of accounts per IP address or something like that. Might stop a few serial account creators...

a young man who was out of our age range made himself very pleasant in the forums, chatted generally and eventually we messaged him so that he could message us back....that's one way of doing it but of course depends on them taking the hint.

to be blunt yes you are. People have filters for a reason. For example a female has looking for men between 35 - 50. You are for example are aged 30. You change you are age to 35 to get around that filter. You are basically lying. Of course that is wrong.

Anyone that does that is then stuck with that new age so ultimately it's somewhat self-defeating.

I think it's pretty natural to be disappointed that filters block you from a profile you are interested in. But trying to bypass those preferences is both arrogant and disrespectful.

If you have already had contact with them previously then the filters shouldn't stop you being able to message.

If you can't access their profile, you shouldn't try bypass their filters as they could be pretty peeved

I might be missing the point but if someone's filters prevent me from contacting them, why would I want to get round them, as I'm obviously not what they're looking for?
