From experience I rarely feel sore after. The place I tend to get sore is the skin above my anus from missing the target as he's trying to penetrate me

Try using a different lube. Some water based ones get sticky after a while once that happens it's no longer acting as a lubricant. Silicone based ones are generally better.

It is a strange feeling when you're new to it, but shouldn't leave you sore. Maybe you're not relaxed enough, maybe you need lots more lube.

Why not try using a butt plug or some other toy a bit more regularly to get used to it?

I would suggest investing in a decent butt plug. Use it with lube a little at a time then build up. Use the butt plugg to loosen yourself up before full anal.

Maybe try some lube with an analgesic in it to start but not to much as it will numb your bum. Trial and error with lube, different ones suit different people but keep adding a little extra when you can feel yourself getting dry
