Last couple off weeks ive had some nasty messages saying that u r fat and the rest.

I've had a few nasty messages off random guys who I've never spoken to. Its very sad these people think its acceptable to belittle others they know nothing about based on a few pics. I think they are insecure and do it to boost their fragile egos. At the end of the day, a larger person can always lose weight if they so wish but these people will always be rude disrespectful and pathetic. How sad they abuse others to make up for their own insecurities. Ignore them, they're not worth any of your time.

It's like the trolls who say nasty things on websites set up for people who have died

Invariably when these people are caught and the ones who have broken the law appear in the press, they seem to be your typical social misfits who have spent there entire adults lives locked away in a bedroom not taking part in normal life.

The best advice is to take their comments with a pinch of salt and picture the poor sado on the other end typing it. Probably kicking his porn videos all over his bedroom cos you've rejected him. He will then go down the pub and tell his mates that all women are stuck up bitches. Then wonder why he can't seem to attract he opposite sex.

In a perfect world there wouldnt be labels but its not. Whether its skinny, curvy, fat, etc but there is. Someone embrace their size after years of battle and if calling themselves Big Beautiful Woman helps with that is there really a problem! Each to their own and all that not everyone has to go by the same! I for one and proud to be a BBW cause thats what i am big and beautiful! Taken me enough years to be able to say it and believe it! This site helped that!

Labels can be useful. Some kind of indication of size is needed on your profile because people have preferences and if a guy isn't turned on by a big woman then no matter how lovely her personality is, he's unlikely be interested. Why waste his time and your own? If I were meeting privately then I'd say I was a larger woman on my profile, state my dress size and include a (clothed) body shot. Then a guy could decide for himself if I was his type.

As it is, we don't meet privately but play in clubs so people can see me 'in the flesh' so to speak and decide if I'm their type. Incidentally, I reject EVERYONE who messages us because we play in clubs and I haven't had a single nasty message back as yet (maybe I've just been lucky)

What I hate is the profiles that stipulate size! Nobody over a size 12 or such. And usually a 100 other stipulations too! I'm afraid I just pass them by as I can't be bothered with people like that. So far I have not had any nasty comments re my curves. Only admiration for my tits!! And they are staying for sure! I'm tattooed and pierced and I would say that draws more attention then my size.

I thought that I would just point out that it's not only the guys that feel the need to throw insults around, myself and friends (all BBWs) have been on the receiving end of insults from skinny fems both on here and in clubs. Have you ever noticed that there is always a group of 'barbie dolls' standing around in the bar area of a club at the weekend? They stand there looking pretty, drinking and chatting with their friends but do they go off and play? Then one of us 'fat birds' walks past and they feel the need to TRY to put us down because of our size. We've found that apart from just ignoring them (but they just bitch again the next time you walk past) so the simple way to deal with these catty 'ladies' is just to mention the fact that WE are actually having some fun and THEY are the ones standing around feeling the need to slap on the make-up, wear the short skirts and plunging necklines but just how much fun are they having? They are in a sex club after all and I bet they don't get their knickers off once in the whole evening, the closest they come to that is going to the loo for a pee!!!

for the ladies that don't understand how some of us get insulting messages, here is why I do......

My profile clearly states I am a large lady, I have plenty of pictures to prove it.

Before I had filters on, I used to get the odd message off guys that I have never spoken to, that just said fat slag, or fat people like you shouldn't be on the site. Just totally out of the blue. If a got a message and wasn't interested, I would always reply with a polite no thank you, then to be told "your too fat for me any way".

I get that not everyone likes plus size ladies, but I wont change for anyone. Filters are in place and I prefer to message men myself. Yes I get rejected lots, but I just carry on looking for more men!

*touch wood* I had no nasty messages on here Yet but got some arsey remarks from single guys when I say no. Sad really. Fat and skinny seem to be insulting words im bbw my friend is super skinny and she gets abuse the same. Odd world we live in.

I've had a few random abusive comments and several after a polite no thanks. If they haven't been a coward and blocked me I always reply with a thank you for reaffirming my decision not to meet you was the correct one, I have no desire to meet a disrespectful immature child!!

I get negative posts from people about my size & as they have the problem not me i just ignore them...i like to think its their loss at the end of the day & as John still likes me thats all that matters.

We are going slimming world at the moment but that's our choice as we are happy with ourselves but healthier a bit lighter, me & John are strong believers of Karma what go around comes around.

I truly don't understand the need to seek reassurance from people who don't know you, never met you and in some cases can't see you.

I'm much bigger than you and in six years I've never received a nasty message about my weight or to saying no. I suppose because there was absolutely no ambiguity as to what I was looking for and stating I wouldn't reply to anyone outwith my criteria and graciously declining those I didn't wish to meet helped...I guess...

One a few days ago when I said thanks but no thanks what he was offering was not to my taste and he promptly told me I should be grateful for the offer as I'm that fat and ugly I wouldn't get any others, he also blocked me before I could hit the report button although to be honest I can't be arsed with it I'm not bothered by it o just move on, I'm confident enough and thick skinned enough to not let it worry me

I have had bad messages off couples not guys, e.g. their profile says they are looking for girls up to a size 12 & they contact us for a meet with "hello Kim i didn't know you were on Fab...you fancy a meet".

I always reply but refuse to meet couples who state guidelines like this in their profiles as i am obviously not there type & its just because someone as seen me in a adult film.

Then you get the "fat old cow" messages because i have said i don't want to meet them.

People can be rude & you will get these bullies that try & ruin the site/forums as they did the school playground many moons ago...some people don't change.

I have had the odd nasty message from guys who I haven't wanted to meet and some have been very offensive which do hurt, not all of us are thick skinned..Not had many nasty messages but the guys seem to think cos of my age/size/looks then I should take what's on offer. I am never nasty in my replies but me saying "no thanks" obviously upsets them and they say nasty things then block me before I can reply..

I have never had any negative comments, but to be fair - if I am not interested I just block straight away ... I'm here for physical fun so if I don't find someone attractive I'm not going to waste their time or mine. I'm a big girl and I'm delighted to have met some gorgeous sexy men. The thing I have learned since joining Fab is that size, shape, height, length etc etc there is something for everyone.

There will always be the rude ones who to be honest are just hitting out at their rejection.

Just move on, there is someone who will appreciate you and your curves not too far away.

We have had a number of insults about my weight. W haven't had any meets or been to any clubs in a couple of years because my husband doesn't want to put me in a situation were others insult my weight. I am who I am and there is nothing I can do about others comment..

I am unhappy about my weight gain but at the moment I am not in a position to change that.

Please don't let it get to you as it has got to me rise above love and report and block any people who comment like that.

(I don't mind putting bbw on ourrofile it kind of gives them a warning, we like all different sizes bar non)

Over the years, we have used and been on various sites. Sandra has nearly always had really nice comments. Last week a guy contacted us to say, she is fat and we must be desperate. I saw and read the message before Sandra, so luckily she never got to read it. It left me feeling angry. People are entitled to opinions, but some are best kept to themselves.

Some of the lovelier men in the room reported him on my behalf. I just blocked him.

I don't take any notice now at my age.

none of these have to be taken as an insult

Shape size race and age (above 18 & within reason) should make absolutely no difference, if there is a spark and a want to have fun that's all that counts.

Admittedly people have there own opinions as we all do, personally I do prefer the more curvy lady but that's not to say I would say no to a thinner woman. To many people are to narrow minded.
