Folkestone

I don't know Cambridge but the local Travelodge should do.

The first couple checks in then texts the others with the room number. Most receptionists won't bat an eyelid as it happens all the time.

Unfortunately that's not always the case. The travel lodge in Huddersfield has key card entry for the door leading out of reception to the rooms. Obviously in an attempt to stop room sharing.

Good to know, I haven't come across that one (no pun intended!)

Its a fairly newish building 2years old. Receptionist said travel lodges are rolling out a refurbishment programme updating their branding so I'm guessing they may do it at other ones if structurally viable.

The ones here have been around a while! Otherwise, busy hotels work for meets because people are always coming & going (pun intended this time!)

southend

Just ask for 2 room keys when you check in. Give the other key to the couple outside.

Peterborough

Travelodge never ask questions just meet in the lobby and go to your room , the holiday inn express in cold hams lane is good just tell your guests to walk in the door and turn right towards all the rooms no need to go to reception desk
