Is asking for a picture that bad??

Recently got chatting to someone I liked and traded numbers.. After chatting I sent some pix.. However, when I ask to see some of them they got very defensive.. I hope I don't get in trouble here but was I wrong to get suspicious of them? I thought texting was a good way to get to know each other and develop some kind of trust before a meet.. Please please no one be offended. I just want to know your thoughts. I would never talk about anyone, I am very discrete. x

I think people need to look at themselves if they get offended to this post really. I think it would be suspicious them not partaking in the picture trade when you did. What was their excuses?

Suspicious.

You would surely only feel pressured if you had something to hide.

I wouldn't worry too much.

I asked someone to Skype after chatting and I got atorrade of abuse saying I was demanding telling me I was amuppet and aperv lol then blocked! ! shortly after they were gone! people with something to hide usually

Not only am I happy to exchange face pics with anyone I am interested in meeting, I expect to.

How can I know I want to meet them without knowing what they look like? How can I expect them to know if they want to meet me.

The only time swapping pics bothers me is when someone asks for mine without showing theirs. I wouldn't request one without sending mine first.

They've watched too much of that Cilla Black.

..unless they got something to hide. Why shouldn't they send a picture back? Especially if there's mutual interest.

There is nothing wrong with asking for a ace picture at all. People can refuse and if they do then you decide if you want to keep chatting or cut them loose.

Yeah, obviously they were hiding something.

It's funny when couples or men message us with no public pics and don't include any in their message. We're verified by both Fab and various other people - we're not going to take your face pics and plaster them all over the internet.

Exactly, you need an idea of what someone looks like.

We had an experience, many years ago, the guy didn't want to send a photo, said he had a scar on his face.we had no problem with that but when we met him~half his face was missing

I don't give my mobile number out unless a meet has been confirmed. If they don't have a face pic to swap on Fab then I stop the conversation. Most people need/want to be discreet but everyone can have a face pic in private. This isn't blind date and I'd need to see if there was an attraction before going any further.

I would ignore and move on if I was you OP.

I wouldnt even be speaking with someone unless I knew what they looked like. I want face pics with first message - if they are young and new I might send a reminder to send me a face pic otherwise I just delete ! X

Its a sex site with attraction the primary objective x I wouldnt worry about it at all hun

I would only ever exchange pics on here...that way if you don't find each other attractive its much easier to deal with on here than have someone texting you asking why you don't want to meet. Its possible he has nothing to hide and just wasn't attracted to you...i wouldn't send my pic to someone I was not interested in meeting whether he'd sent me a pic or not...you never know their reaction do you x just be safe in the knowledge that he wasn't for you and there a zillion others who are xx

We are happy to chat with people without seeing a pic but if we are meeting we want to see facial a pic even if they have to send it privately, when people say no we don't do this we know they are time wasters & block them.

We can understand some peoples jobs prevent them from displaying their face pics but that's no excuse not to PM them in view to meeting.

We are not oil paintings by any stretch of the imagination, but to us a face pic Ian an absolute must!

Generally, most have at least some type of body pic on their profile, (unless maybe they are brand new ) so if you are then asking for a face pic, then it shows an interest ... To me it seems a perfectly natural request...

If peeps can't be bothered to put pics up then they will dip out

its a fantasy site, chatting, pics and phoning, as soon as you ask for some action, ie, send a pic, it becomes realty and the fantasy soon wears off...

I cant remember how many times people wont send pic from here,due to having pics stolen and used on net,so I get offered whatsapp etc

So if I want to use there face I can get a better pic without fabswingers written on it

How cool is that

Do men really think we are that naive to not know they want pics and videos ,sorry op u did get caught out on that try not to be a cyber chick to give men there jollys,prefer real meets if won't show face then convo over
