"What's the best way to break the ice? If I met someone in a pub or bar, normally I'd say Hi, how are you, before offering to buy a drink. Saying "Hi, how are you" seems to be a big NO NO on here (unfortunately I can't buy anyone a drink on here). My guess would be to use the same way you broke the ice with the other people you have met from here "

"will guarantee you at least a smile." That could be the rictus grin of fear as you slowly back away from the loony or the condescending smile of pity for somebody who is obviously suffering from a disorder.

" In my opinion, a one liner is unlikely to warrant a response (trust me I've tried before!). What I tend to do now is whenever I see a female/couple that I like, I read through their profile and try to incorporate their wording into my reply. I'm not saying this is the correct method, I'm just letting you know how I do it. Good luck OP!

"I personally think 'Hi how are you' is fine...if someone is interested in what they see and like how you look they are interested ..." I wish people would take note. Winks get ignored, " hi how are you"pretty much the same. The advice of comment about something on profile is tricky too when lazy bastards write " ask me" or " will fill in.later" and no doubt they still get heaps of responses.....

Do you want a girl that wants you for your wallet or for your body .
