Fancy a shag is a no no.. along with a cock pic..

A little about yourself.. saying why someone caught your eye and something about THEM works best we think...

er...guess

You can't go far wrong with something that shows you've actually read the profile you're writing to and, perhaps more importantly, nothing that that suggests you haven't read the profile.

never do a copy and paste multiple message! lol shows complete lack of actual interest in the person you're messaging...especially if there happens to be something in the message that certainly doesnt apply! a compliment always makes me smile...dont make it too long winded or too short...best of luck! x

Oh...and don't put "hye, I've read your profile"...but then you're out of their looking for range...read the profile...then states what interest you with their profile...not just..."I like your profile cause there's a woman in it"...:D

We think some people have their 'blurb' in a word doc and just cut and paste it ...

One for the single males to consider....

DON'T SAY; WANNA F***!!!!!!!

I mean that only works for builders pmsl.

Seriously though, be yourself... Don't just in with, I think you look hot; DUH!!! Well why else are you writing them? lol I tend to go with, hello (then a joke) then something about me (Something interesting and not sexual) Then a little about why i have joined the site or how long I have been on these types of sites.... then a few random bye bye jokes.

I think structure is important in a message, but it's not the main thing... You need to get some of your personality in there, advertise yourself... Not just the sexual stuff, & when you advertise; You need to show a small bit of all your good features, leave them wanting to know more.

Ps... the next time i write advice on here it will be completely different lol I tend to use a load of different techniques for this type of thing, it keeps me interested (& fresh)

Peace

xx

"people tend to message me, so dont ask me......"

If you don't mind me asking;

Is that because you use the chat area or/and the forum do you think?

Just curious

Thanks

we had a message the other day off a single male, it started really well,he was saying that he never gets replys, then just went a bit wrong when he was explaining how to lick a womans pussy (in great detail i might add) and although it made for a great read,it kinds put me off, so i messaged him back and told him really nicely that it might be the bottom half of his message that was putting couples off and that most people dont appreciate that in a first mail, and he replied and thanked me,

see i do try and help lol

We have just had a message from a single guy (who hadnt read our profile properly anyway) that was titled 'gorgeous' and said 'profile pics' - so he clearly thought that 3 words would be enough to get me to drop my knickers for him! Aaaaggghhhhh!

But we dont want a 500 word essay either - especially if its clearly been typed one-handed, like the one mentioned above.

"Cut and pastes" are pretty obvious too, as they dont refer to anything in our profile.

So - our advice is - keep it simple but not stupidly short, keep it clean(ish) and relate to the person who you are replying to.

And if you're black with a 10 inch dick - 'fancy a shag?' might work anyway!

LOL Cut and paste is a definite no-no, as far as I am concerned. But everyone is different, and I would quite like 500 word essay on why we're destined to be together.

But please, no one-handed typing, and I much prefer messages which are spelled and punctuated correcly. And if this makes me 'shallow', then I'm very sorry. LOL

Bad spelling or txt speak!

..to add my tuppence-worth, I'd re-iterate the point above about spelling & txt-spk: If it doesn't look you can be bothered to take the time to check what you've written (or even to write in WHOLE WORDS!) then anyone reading it could be forgiven for thinking you're taking a slightly lax approach to the whole business, and by extension not showing them much respect..

I know I can sometimes be a bit anal about grammar etc., but I've always found it better to err on the side of caution - and yes, it does make a difference.

I've had responses several times that said something along the lines of "How refreshing to receive a literate message!"

The problem I have always had - being a gobby beggar - is deciding how long/short an initial message should be. This is made more difficult, as shown above, by the fact that some people like a long one, some a short one (oo-er missus!). So I try to keep my 'introduction' reasonably short (which for me means a couple of paragraphs!) and hope anyone reading it will at least peek at my profile, which tells them far more than anyone would ever want to know

Lastly, it should go without saying that if you're writing to someone, your message should refer in some way to them, their profile, their pics or something, and how/why you think you might be of interest to them. If not, you're in danger of it looking like a copy&paste job, even if it isn't - which doesn't go down well at all...

Common sense, mostly, isn't it?

try to keep the message short as possible ,, but also let them know you have actually read their profile ,, try not to waffle on too much or folks become bored ,, dont mention the germans ,, yep ,,, we know they started it and dont mention any stds that you may have ,, or any that you think you might have ,,, ohh and one last thing ,, dont tell them ya just got back from cancun,,,, best of luck

Having just updated my profile with a small hissy fit due to the 'quality' of some of messages that I receive (lol - it didn't work), may I suggest that you search for 'swinging as a single male playm8' in google?

It's an interesting blog that contains some good advice, a lot of which has been echoed here already. I can't comment on the rest of the site but the single male advice was spot on..... particularly the final comment about never wiping your knob on the curtains
