Why on earth does anyone feel the need to share private details of their sex lives?

For some people, sex is a private thing. To force them to hear about someone else's sex life is, to me, disrespectful and rude.

We aren't embarrassed,we just don't discuss any aspect of our sex lives with anyone we don't want to. It isn't like coming out as gay or lesbian and calling it coming out is making a bit more out of it than is necessary I think.

I've been swinging on and off for about a decade! Most of my friends know as do my sister and her husband. My parents are very religious and would not understand so there is no point in telling them.

I totally understand why you felt you wanted to tell your family. After all their love should be unconditional. Its not easy and it takes courage. Perhaps if more people had the balls to do this there would be far less stigma attached to it.

Mind you if people who swing are judgmental about it then what hope do we hold out for the rest of society!

It says his family were surprisingly unjudgemental. Hers think she is a slag etc but doesnt say they were surprised by this. They may have expected this I font know. Too many forum threads these days make assumptions to suit posters views. Imho only .....

But what if the 5 year old grew up forcing people to believe in santa and persecuting those who don't?? Thst's what religions do. Does oliver james defend the older brother then, for trying to speak the truth and quell misunderstandings?

Your 'faith' is not an absolute, it is not sacred to me. I am not obliged to respect it, in the same way your god decrees you should not respect other 'false idols'. Do you know the story of the passover? How much respect was shown in this act of genocide? And you respect that? Sheesh.....

Our lifestyle choice is ours, and there's no need for others to know, doesn't mean we are ashamed or embarrassed. We each have one friend who know some elements. I don't walk out of the bathroom and discuss the details of what i just did - nor do i do so from the bedroom.

To the slaters of Christianity, I'm all for a healthy debate but belittling people and resorting to insults just makes yourself look pathetic.

the thing that would concern me now is how others will act around you both.

will they be thinking you cant be trusted with their partners?

would they be looking down their noses if they rocked up to your place and you had completely innocent visitors?

the can you have opened contains many many worms i fear
