Personally we don't like any lubes that desensitise that area, but that's personal choice

Take it slow and relax, remember reading a while ago

1 finger:1 minute

2 fingers:2minutes

And so on, helps you relax and get used to it at the start

Plenty of lube will definitely help, but the main thing I found was you have to learn how to relax the anus muscles, once you have mastered that, which should not take long if you keep practicing you will soon get used to it.

There are a few things you can try, but everyone will be different. I personally stay away from the desensitizing lubes because if something hurts, then it hurts for a reason and wouldn't want to risk damage because I didn't feel any pain.

My pre-anal routine is douche about an hour before so I'm not worrying about accidents and therefore more relaxed, then shower, then wear a well lubed plug for a bit. By the time it comes to letting him in there there's very little difficulty, so long as there's plenty lube being used.
