FabSwingers.com forum: Should I stay or should I go?

I've not been on here that long and I've made a few friends. The question is, everyone remotely nearby who interests me doesn't reply to my witty well written messages. I can travel but frankly I'm really not wishing to spend hours on a motorway for a meet. I don't want to sound all woe is me but is there any

point continuing wasting my time and everyone else's delete button wear and tear?

Cough, have you tried a local social or club?

Attercliffe really isn't a motorway drive.

Sheffield socials are often and fun.

If you feel you've given this as much effort as you can and its not working for you....

Or could you try and network with a little more effort? Only you know the answer so a forum poll....

I'm loathe to try le chambre for a variety of reasons, one being I don't want to see someone who I know is a regular and as a single man there will be no doubt I'll probably not fair well either. I understand the uphill challenge of us singletons but it's all very disheartening at times. I don't want sympathy or a pat on the back saying 'there there's just a little practical advice.

only you can answer if this site is worth your while, but as a couple, it can be very wearying at times, so cant imagine how hard for a single guy.

maybe you should try other avenues to meet people rather than a sex site, or is it just purely sex you are interested in meeting people for?

As a married single bloke who has been on here for some time I've yet to meet someone 1 to 1 for sex, though I have met people socially. I recently went to a club for the first time and met people there and I will be going back again. My advice is to stay on and get out to a club near you, try and find one like The Paradise Health Spa in Bournemouth which is where I went, you never know you might find someone there that likes you and is local to you

As crap and whining as I have been so far on this poll/advice column. I'm grateful for any responses I know these things will generate a degree of abuse and I'm ok with that. So let's change to focus from asking for advice to; "How did you start on swinging scene?" Perhaps I can gain some inspiration from that.

I'd say that you should be patient.

I'm in the same boat as you and there are quite a few people that liked what they saw when I asked more or less the same question as you.

So it's really not an issue of quality so much as the amount of people that women/couples have to deal with.

Sooner or later you'll find something.

there is a social in Sheffield in about 4 weeks... great way to hook up and get known

7 weeks is no time at all...I want quality not quantity so took my time, chose carefully and waited 3 months for my first meet (it was worth it)

Your profile reads well compared to a lot of single guys' - maybe add a few more public photos to pique the ladies's interest?

But ultimately only you know what your expectations are from the site

7 weeks!!!! It's no time at all on a site like this especially as a single guy when you outnumber couples and women by dozens to one! Get yourself along to the social, get chatting, then you should get some veris and that will be a help

I will never understand this "seeing someone I know" business.. one time my friend and I were in the Jacuzzi at chameleons... Surrounded by people that wouldn't go to lc as it was their local... So they had travelled to chameleons and still surrounded by locals.

I bumped into a friend from London in their, and an ex teacher of mine...

Get to the socials. They are not at clubs.

Because that person was my ex. There are many reasons out there in the world some of them are just not convenient. There are no hard feelings on my behalf but I'd hate to be the reason for causing a scene. I've avoided le chambre for sometime even though a friend of mine asked me to go with them. I have a life outside of this and I want it to nice and quiet. I realise my situation isn't exactly normal and I'm not expecting miracles. Thank you to everyone who has responded, I appreciate the time and effort you've taken. X
