Can someone be blocked from messaging me on whatsapp? A guy from here I was chatting to got obsessed and sent me attention seeking messages, I've told him I am now not interested in meeting anymore as he was getting too intense and obsessed. We did exchange numbers and he is now bombarding me with messages on whatsapp saying rather disturbing things, I have not replied and am trying to block him but cant seem to find out how. Can anyone help?

Select his conversation on the list. Press your menu button. Click more.

Select block.

Xx

Good luck.

Will that also block him from my phone and stop him texting and calling?

What does the other person see when they try and send a what's app message? Does it say you are blocked?

No you only get one green tick instead of two. You can't seethe persons last online time stamp either that's the first sign you're blocked

I think kik is better for this type of stuff as it doesn't use your mobile number

That wouldn't have helped, they exchanged telephone numbers!

Don't think so, unless I'm wrong? Whatsapp is tied to your mobile number, whereas snap chat/kik are tied to an i.d.

Nope. You need kik if you don't want to give your number out.

"Is there a way to then delete the contact from your list?"

Only by deleting them from your phone book altogether

Thanks, kitty. Actually not in my phone book, an old 'friend' who saw I was on, said hi, and now not answering messages. Long story! Having deleted her from my phone previously, I hadn't added her to my phone. Maybe I should, then delete from my phone and hope she goes from the app too!
