I've met a few guys now who have sported an impressively hard cock during foreplay. But, the minute there's the russle of a condom packet, the little fella develops a mind of it's own and thinks " If you think for one minute you are going to try stuff me in that thing, well you have another thing coming!"

Then it's all very awkward and saying things like it doesn't matter isn't helpful because to the rather frustrated chap it bloody does matter!

So , i'm asking if anyone has any ideas of how to stop this condom phobia? There comes a point when you can have enough foreplay

My fear would be they only have bareback sex.

Have you put the condom on with your mouth? Given oral with the guy wearing the condom? (Get flavoured condoms cos the latex tastes disgusting).

It happened to me on Tuesday evening. Stiff as a board during foreplay but floppy as soon as the condom went on. Even oral with the condom still on didn't help. Just had to do a long 69 instead. For me, its being so constricted that is the problem.

I have EXACTLY this problem!!!

I'm NOT allergic to condoms but soon as one appears my manhood heads south n NOTHING will entice it to entertain one. It is all in MY head n I haven't a CLUE why

My solution to this has had to b that I decline to penetrate n state this on my profile to save wasting people's time

I WON'T bareback n will go as far as toys n oral which is why I don't meet solo females! If another male is present it is usually not a problem as he can do the intercourse activity

I appreciate it's not a pan ideal scenario for many but with some couples it has worked surprisingly well

For guys it helps if you masturbate with a condom on yourself.. it's something that will help over time..

I suggest trying different brands and fits too... But if you really struggle why not take along femidoms... Not sure most women would object... Solves the problem a little.

I hate them too, particularly the smell of latex...I would say it would perhaps help if the woman sort of artfully puts it on the man between intervals of oral/hand play? x

It psychological. Arousal takes place in the brain, of course sensation is a factor but at the very very best it's 50:50. I think maybe some guys try to use it as an excuse not to wear one.

It can be arousing depending on how you do it and as Scottish said depending on how much attraction there is...I have been known to have raging hardons with a condom on, plus it also helps you pound away for longer without finishing too soon.

If someone has difficulty remaing hard with one on the should tell the people before hand. Save a lot of time and hassle.

Agree that their are a lot of men use this as an excuse to try and fuck BB.

Must ask, why is it the woman's responsibility to keep them hard? If the woman was successful in getting him hard during foreplay and then suddenly he has an issue with condom, its his responsibility. As said previously, practice with condom when wanking, get used to them.

That's all very well, but I think if I asked guys if they stayed hard with a condom on I think they would say yes of course and just hope for the best!

I wouldn't know how to put a condom on with my mouth ( Bit naïve maybe?)

But I do agree with the chap who said it should not be up to the woman to keep a fella hard. After all, I've got my sexy gear on, I've sucked it, licked it, pulled it etc . At some point the chap needs to find a way to play with a condom on if he wants to play the swinging game.

It's not about the woman being at fault for a floppy dick when a condom is mentioned and used. Yes, practise with wanking solo with a condom on helps but in my humble view it's also about helping each other when putting it on...trying different techniques together...discovering what works...cooperation. Theres no ideas. I suppose you cant really pick guys that would be good either, as a lot of verifications are 'in the eye of the beholder' it seems. Fellas in their 40's can be as crap a shag as guys in their 20's (from what I have heard). It's just luck of the draw on true sexual experience I guess.

Getting hard with a condom is not an issue if both people are up for it. Personally I cant say I have ever been soft with one (there may have been occasion) but the thought of a good fuck always perks you up.

Getting a good fuck doesnt rely on a condom but the guy using it imo. And guys that go soft probably arent worth the shag in either case I'd think.

Some good advice here. Best is if the meet doesn't have any time constraints, then the guy can find his own way of staying hard whilst condom covered, without the added psychological pressure of clock watching.

Think it's ideal if guys get used to wearing them hard, whilst alone or with others - maybe get a fleshlight etc and fuck it whilst wearing one even. Obviously use them for wanking, and use latex free if you don't like latex.

Whilst we girls can use our mouths to cover them up, it is better if a guy informs beforehand that he may have problems, so that it doesn't suddenly happen 'by surprise' in the heat of the moment.

Yes I agree, but the OP raised the question of condoms and how to stop Mr Droopy coming to play. We never have a problem otherwise as we don't use them at other times.

We're not talking about impotence here. If you can maintain an erection normally but lose it when a tiny bit of rubber is introduced then the problem is probably in your head.

It's mostly psychological, but some people just are less sensitive. I don't maintain an erection with one on easily and it's one of the reasons I only do penetrative sex with Tor.

Can't say I've had this problem as such only when I used the delay ones and lost all feeling down there. Apart from that it's stayed up, we often use condoms with each other to make a change (and keep the bedsheets clean). I wonder if it's just guys not being used to using them. Usually you wouldn't use a condom for anything other that penetration it's not like you would do a posh wank all the time but maybe it's worth trying to help the little guy get used to it.

As expected, some utterly ignorant posts in this thread. What a surprise.

Anyway, it happens. It has happened to me a few times, especially when fresh out of a relationship where we weren't using condoms for 2 years.

As with most things, it can take some practice. And for the love of all things holy, please don't try and encourage the guy in that moment. If anything, he develops a mental block and it gets worse.

Find a zone he likes and pleasure him there till he gets hard again (ladies here's a tip...the NIPPLES). Or at least hard enough to get the condom on. By this point, it will be out of the wrapper, and in his hand, so one less step in the process.

Getting an erection is as much a mental thing as it is response to physical stimuli for a man. Not all of us can summon one at will.

alot of women are assuming guys do this for BB sex, i can inform you from as single guys point of view it really isnt.

I have safe sex 95% of the time lets put it out there unless im in a reltionship or its a couple ive been seeing for years and even with that i get tested on a reguler basis, common its the swinging scene you should be tested or fuck off.

tho i find with alot of comdoms i lost my hard on really quickly, unless ive been abstanat for days/a week. so before i go to clubs i dont want for a week or so this helps me. and also with your little chap smothered in latex its hard to be in the mental state,

I totally agree with this comment that it wasn't a case of the guys wanting bareback sex . It was simply 'condomaphobia'.

But as Miss Tress said earlier, sometimes you do want penetration and it becomes frustrating for both of you.

It happened with a guy I went to a club with, but as soon as we got there he said he had a 'yoyo dick' and it took the pressure off by telling me.

But the other guy it happened with said nothing , but after a lot foreplay I was eager to ride him. But he kept losing his erection when he tried to put the condom on. But because he had come across in his description as a bit of a stud, I assumed he just wasn't that into me ( excuse the pun), so I felt awkward.

There has been some really interesting comments from my post , and it seems there is no easy solution

Im having this issue at the moment, i came out of a monogamous relationship where condoms werent used, then had 2 year gap before coming here and i was abstinate through out. The first meet right out the gate, everything fine solid as a rock, till the condom came out. I was mortified, and embarrased beyond belief but thank god she was understanding and finished me by hand.

A one off, or so i thought, next meet exactly the same problem, now im getting frustrated and worried and that killed it, again thank god for an understanding partner, we meet fairly regular and ive never been able to hold an erection once the rubber goes on, i know its frustrating for her because she desperately wants me to make love to her and i do too. Ive taken to having a posh wank now with the cheap ones to see if i can train the old chap to respond. So far the results are encouraging and i hope it works cos i dont want to start on the viagra yet at my age.

I think the advice of having the little buggers out of their wrappers and easily reachable is a good plan. the last guy I had the problem with was disorganised and had to search around in his discarded clothing for them!

And if I come ( or cum) across this problem again I think a will try cause a distraction whilst the condom goes on...

I had this happen to me recently. Although I had given him advance warning that I only play safe.

The guy said he hated condoms and tried to persuade me to play bare. I refused so we continued to try with condoms with very little success.

It was very frustrating for me but at least he made sure I had cum (twice through oral) before calling it quits. I then thanked him (orally as well).

I also find this A lot to the point where I have had to add it to my profile that if you can't keep a hard on in a condom then don't message me!

I don't mean it in a nasty way but I just end up spending most of the meet keep getting them hard again when changing positions etc.. On a 1on1 basis I find they stay hard but when we do mmf and they are getting sucked while mr fucks me as soon as I get a condom to put on them it goes soft again and makes things so awkward and just spoils the moment!

To be honest I think women have a lot of choice and we do mmf cause we enjoy it not just to get a fuck so I think it's fair for us to say if you can't keep hard then don't bother us!

Sorry if that offends anyone but swinging is suposed to be horny and fun not hard work and awkward x

think a lot of it is with the condom itself if you use your bog standard Durex your taking all the feeling away a lot to do with heat transfer etc. i find with mates skyn and Durex elite there not so bad and Trojan supra ultra thin are the best i have found, can hardly tell it's on!!

also best think about the Trojan one is its latex free so anyone who allergic to latex then its your dream condom!

Before I type I'd never do bareback unless with a partner and both tested. But the thing about condoms is they are not natural. I find I'd have to be really horny - but then there's no pleasure from them. They take all the friction away. So most likely why most guys don't like them. Added to this that they are slightly cool in temperature and not comforting is probs why some guys have this problem.

For me, the problem was the size. I found Durex seem to run tight so would become pinched, red and raw very quickly, which then caused Mr Floppy. However, by changing brands (Mates) and looking at types (e.g. Skyns) I found that helped massively

It may sound strange but try masturbating while wearing a condom. This will remove any performance pressure from the equation.

Your body will also associate the feeling of wearing a condom with pleasure so you will more likely stay aroused while wearing it. It will likely take multiply times to condition yourself but once you are, you should have no problems.

I struggled recently with this when taking a girl back from a club last week (clubs omg yeah they still exist). I had been in a relationship for nearly 2 years where we I hadnt had to where a condom and man was it hard adjusting. It is literally like looking a prison camp for penises and mine wasnt ready to here the final verdict so ran away. We tried for an hour of vigorous sucking, pulling and touching till eventually he came back and lasted the whole night .

Its very hard for guys used to bb to go back to condoms sex is just that more uncomfortable and unsensitive especially for circumcised guys.

Obviously I use them and will always expect to use them with anyone on here but it doesnt mean I like them.

Of course there is an expectation that the man will be able to sustain an erection!

Can you imagine how many sexual meets you'd get if you wrote on your profile that you sometimes struggle getting hard when a condom is involved?

I am not saying I treat men like a piece of meat but the least you ask for is a hard cock.

Guys , I agree with this , I've sometimes used a condom provided at an event and it's been far too tight and whilst I've not lost my erection , it did stop me getting really rock hard.

I had a embarrassing moment personally on a meet last year. I won't go into details but based on that if a guy couldn't keep a erection because of a condom, I wouldn't let it bother me as there would be a reason judging from what I've read on here. I wouldn't go bareback but would hope we could just have some fun anyway. Naive maybe but I'm just honest

Yeah used to happen to me. Was a struggle to get on, and then they'd be tight and then just made for a mister floppy.

I use the wider fit brands now and they're much easier to slide on so keeps you in the moment and then is less like a boa constrictor.

Never had a problem with condoms, think some guys use it as a ruse to get bareback!

If it's genuine then the guys need to introduce the condom to their cock during masturbation and get used to it that way

Ladies stick to your guns and don't allow them near you without a raincoat on!

Yep its natural to be hard at the hint of sex if youre a rutting stag, an elephant in must, as with all males its a hormone that induces it and its not a Tap that can be turned on and off, a switch that can be turned on at Will, there are many dynamics in every meet from surroundings to nerves throw into the mix the people involved, the pressure to be ' great' often self imposed, its a mind thing and the more he thinks about it the worse it becomes , its why porn stars are porn stars they can control the mind, to the original post as for condoms I think its more a reduced sensation I m reasonably big and I don t buy the constriction bit it comes back to the mind ,

Skyns condoms. Never had an issue with them. They feel fantastic, like you've got nothing on, not as restricting and don't taste or smell as bad as other brands. Plus they don't break as often as Durex

I found that for myself. If the lady puts it on me during foreplay and it not like thought it just happens as she rubbing me all over and my cock. I am fine but if I have stop to put it on that when problems start also. I had lady husband put on me once during cuckold thing and that was fine.

Try distraction, tease him as he puts it on, the 'stress' of maintaining an erection whilst fiddling with a tight condom the mind begins to focus on that and zap soft time.

"Mr B here - I've had a few issues with condoms in the past. It is mostly down to finding a comfortable fit. Mates naturals are great, but Durex are too tight, causing rapid deflation..."

Agree . If a durex is produced I think oh! oh !

Strangulation deflation.

I think its only ever been with durex that this has happened with me, and boy I cant wait to rip it off afterwards! Too tight!

Your brain is shouting too tight get it off and your dick is saying right if you dont listen to your brain im just gonna quit this is not a good experience ..

Mates and most other brands are fine.In fact extremely better. You will probably find problem solved. As many have said everything is good till the condom appears

Break the cycle - Find a brand that suits you and take your own !

End of problem .

I would check with http://www.mysize-condoms.com/measuring/

and http://www.theyfit.co.uk/pages/choose-your-size

for condom sizing since for me those are the only ones reasonably comfortable. The condom can simply be too tight or of the wrong materials as the others said, which is most likely the reason.

For a guy, keeping/maintaining an erection is as much a psychological thing, as it is a physical thing.

When I used Durex (featherlite or extra safe) I had the same problem, I think because they were so tight they hurt.

Since I found Skyns Large its been no problem, plus they are not latex so ladies will allergies can enjoy the erection.

So, I would suggest wanking in a condom and trying different sorts on for comfort.
