FabSwingers.com forum: Legalities of Dogging In a Campervan?

We have bought a High Top Campervan and were wondering about the legalities of using it for dogging? The other half has a very high profile job and can't afford to be arrested or reported for obscene conduct, so we would like to know the legalities from fellow Campervan owners.

I've told her that as long as the curtains are drawn and nobody is on display, there is nothing the Police can do about what happens inside.

We would be arranging meetings on here and then meeting them in a quiet spot that 'used' to be a dogging car park (they closed the main car park down and just left a 10 car strip on the entrance)

So if we are parked there, curtains drawn, an empty car next to us while we are 'entertaining' what 'could' the police do us for?

I basically just need to reassure her that as long as we are parked legally and all the curtains are shut It's as legal as doing it in a house. Btw the curtains are 'Blackout' and will probably used with thermal mats (so nobody will be able to see anything at all going off inside

)

thought that was the whole idea of dogging, truth be told, otherwise surely all you are doing is fucking someone in your campervan.....

as with legalities, the whole dogging thing is a grey area anyway.

its all public decency laws, so unless you are on display to people that may not want to see it, there is no law to be answered.

you could be doing anything in your camper, in a carpark, with your curtains drawn.

have a cuppa brewed and a deck of cards dealt just in case lol

Was more worried when I thought it was dogging the van would become the attention point and with people gathering I would be panicked of anyone breaking anything, lol

Legality you are fine with curtains closed like said above keep clothes handy and then if there is a knock you can quickly dress and make it look like you are just relaxing any copper will just ask you to move on, there is no public exposure so they really shouldn't do anything

On a side note, congrats on the new van, home is where you park it now

Sounds no more illegal than having sex at a camp site, either in a camper-van or tent, with the people of your choice.

Largely sex laws are related to being seen, or able to be seen. With blackout blinds etc, then neither would be the case. Strangely, for those who may hear but not see, there doesn't seem to be an equivalent charge. There may be some parking restrictions, such as no overnight stays, and busy bodies may try to disturb you on that count, if curtains are shut. I'm not a lawyer, but that's as I see it.

The other option to consider is to use a parking spot that's never been a dogging use place. Have fun!

I had a Devon conversion VW in my early 20's. Never had any problem with the fuzz doing what we did in there.

But yeah I do wonder if that is dogging not that I have experienced this activity.

we play in our camper in allsorts of places on our own and with others never thought about it being wrong its our private space no one can see in so whats the probs

Be careful of local authority bylaws, a lot prohibit or limit where camper vans can park with people *inside* them. Part of the drive to control travellers.

Real dogging where you have an exhibitionist couple performing to a voyeur/s seems to be dead really. It seems to have developed from its exhibitioist/vouyeur origins into "outdoor swinging" or a quick fix fuck option for guys looking for an easy shag! Largly thanks to the internet and Stan Colleymore! Gosh we miss the old days before it even had a name lol.

Sure there are some "old school exponents of the sport still practicing but it'll sadly never be what it was pre colleymore/internet

I think it's probably best to find the most secluded and private place that you can, if you wish to still enjoy your outdoor location meets. (using your private vehicle). There's likely to be no-one around that's looking for doggers, or even have it in their heads, if the site isn't using for dogging.
