How do I deal with this one? A bloke off here has mailed me several times and every time I block him he comes back a few days later with a whole new profile, new name etc and tries again. This time its been a few weeks , but here he is again today with a whole new persona! Tell me, why the hell is he bothering? And is it just me?

Set filters so men can't contact you but as your profile says only looking for men put a bit on your profile saying you are looking for men but you have the filters set so you can contact the men who interest you rather than being bombarded by messages. Good luck x

I'd message you to if only I was taller and older.

I'm off to google stretching techniques and find a fake passport

On a serious note if you just ignore him he wont know youve blocked him and may get bored waiting for a reply

Go along with it and pretend you are interested. Arrange to meet then just don't turn up. Not that he would anyway.

Blocking newbies and unverified members may not totally stop him but it will make it a lot harder and still allow other me to message you.

Thanks all, I hadn't thought but as he has no verification and keeps opening new profiles I could change my message filters. Off to do that now and by the way ladies. If anyone persistently mails you and signs of with ' Love T x ' you'll know what to do lol. Thanks again all x

I've had people create new profiles just to have the last word when I block them. And worse. Fake profile created to get my attention and be malicious about my relationship. Some people don't have happiness and need to entertain themselves through bizarre means. I think it's all so beneath me... I Don't block... Just ignore and delete without reading. People soon move on.

Is there a chance that this man is just blanket mailing everyone in the area when he sets up a new profile? ive blocked newbies because people come and go all the time and I just assumed the messages that kept coming from the same people were because they forgot who they messaged the last time they were here

No he thinks if he messages me over and over he will wear me down, but I took all the good advice and changed my filters so hopefully that's it now. From what he wrote in his messages I think he lives in a fantasy world , strange chap .

I'm just saying...

it wouldn't be a suggestion that she did anything wrong...and I'm not saying he shouldn't be blocked from the site altogether...it would just make it easier for her to avoid the annoying guy

"Go along with it and pretend you are interested. Arrange to meet then just don't turn up. Not that he would anyway. "

Then she'd get reported for being a no-show!

Oh and blocking IP addresses doesn't work now that we all use mobile devices, the IP address changes. And you can change your home one too easily.

As much as i can see this would do your head in and be an inconvenience BUT

he's not breaking the site rules by joining and deleting and coming back UNLESS he is abusive and harassing you! then report it to the admin

Bur personally i think hes just trying it on, best you can do is apply the filters

I have no newbies and ones without a public photo cant message me and that seems to work for me

Which is a completely pointless thing to do, as IP addresses can be changed, hidden and spoofed very easily.

Why bother blocking him if he just keeps coming back with new profiles. Just leave his mails unread and don't respond at all. I don't like to block the really weird people as they will only come back again a little bit more irate.

Just keep blocking him. That takes seconds. Him creating a whole new profile etc. Takes much longer.

Admin can get his ip address and report it to his ISP as a abusive/stalking user. Also they can inform the police.

I had the same problem with a couple from here(who are still here) who I said NO to a meet with them.

I don't know why but they just couldn't handle the word "no thanks". .

After blocking them he!!!!! came right back within minutes with another profile and uttering lots of abuse and swearing etc .

I guess it goes with the course that some on here should be adult enough not to throw their dummy out when someone says no and just think.................

ok their loss

Admin should be able to trace via the IP address

You mean trace the MAC address, which doesn't change. However IP addresses issued by the DNS sever change constantly.

"Admin can get his ip address and report it to his ISP as a abusive/stalking user. Also they can inform the police. "

Inform the police of what? Unless he actually threatens her they won't do much and I'm pretty sure they should be using their money catching real stalkers.

Yes it is irritating the OP and he is being a pest and may be odd I haven't heard the op mention threats or that he a threat to her safety. He hasn't actually done anything other than pester, has he? I've had persistant mailers here (same profile so they know they are doing it) and on another site and if I reported them all to get their IP address and report to the police I could give them enough work to last them all year!

The advice of blocking new users is the best advice.
