We wanted to meet a couple for the first time, tried to organize it in a social place like a pub, but they suggested their home, is this normal? or are we being to reserved?

Depends on the person or couple. You need to do what's comfortable for you be that in a public or private situation. In either case be mindful of your personal safety

It's what you feel comfortable with that's counts. Only you can decide what your happy with.

We have met at someones house quite a few times on a first meet and never had any problems. Actually find it more relaxed and easier to take freely.

we like to meet in a pub, have a nice drink and a chatter, with no thoughts or pressures, then take it from there.

we have also met at peoples homes, and kind of felt under pressure to take it further 'because we were there'.

would hope we wouldnt make people feel that way if they met at ours, but yes, for us, pubs are great for a first meet

Many people do things that way you can choose to take it up or decline. If you do go to theirs make sure they know play is not guaranteed its more of a social meet with potential that way you don't feel pressurised into playing with people you find you are not attracted to.

peak district

Best to meet on neutral ground first - then you don't get faced by a single man arriving at your house and saying 'the missis isn't well...' or whatever!
