Just had a social today and another guy we are meant to be meeting later in the week mailed him to ask about us.

that wouldn't really bother us much but its the fact he used our real names etc that's upset us as this is not very discreet.

Does this happen often??

It happens - if you meet indiscreet people. But blocking is a perfectly understandable response!

Personally I'd have blocked both!

Did he mail the other guy because he saw a verification?

I don't like behaviour like that but I know some people will check up on people by asking others about you

Using real names isn't the way to go. But if I met someone and a guy messaged me asking about it then that wouldnt bother me. Obviously I wouldn't go into details, just something like "Yes she looks like her pictures, had a laugh" etc etc

Which is exactly why i choose not to show my named verifications. My summary at least shows that i meet and not a time waster, which is the whole point of them anyway.

A friend of mine did the same after he was a bit dubious about a couple of years ago

Turns out the couple was really only a male so sometimes it pays to be cautious

as I said not bothered he contacted him as such but the fact he mentioned our names etc

it does pay to be cautious sometimes

I never show verifications, due to previous meets being contacted for details of me, and tips to get me to meet etc.
