If you change your mind about meeting someone are you cruel and just stop talking to them, block and delete? Or are you kind and say something? Xx

Nottingham/and everywhere my location says i am ;)

Be honest.. Yeah you may get a mouthful from some off here.. But ultimately it's your choice..

Me personally would prefer to know, rather than be left wondering

My wife is the biggest cause of me having to cancel... She gets home unexpected... I can get out to meet but can't get to cancel.. Then they delete me...

I only make arrangements when 99% sure.

As for the guy I always give a get out clause the morning of the meet.

It's best to be kind and honest to say that you don't want to meet anymore so aleast everyone know where they stand than leave them guessing and hoping there is a possible meet again, it's a waste of energy for everyone with that. If they don't like it and get nasty then block them.

It all depends on why you don't want to meet, I still think you have to be honest, but in a nice way.

ive changed my mind on meeting people before

Ive had it a few times where I have agreed to meet someone then they have said something that has made me re think, we have the rights to change our minds at any time, but I think you should always tell them, put yourself in their position if you had arranged a meet and they changed their mind would you rather they ignored you and didn't turn up or tell you?

I'm pretty shure that such inconsiderate behaviour has legal ground for divorce.

"It all depends on why you don't want to meet, I still think you have to be honest, but in a nice way."

You don't "have to" do anything!

If I change my mind about meeting and let the person know, I don't need to spell out the reason why: *I've* changed my mind.

To be honest if we've seen pic's and have agreed to meet we would do the meet after all you don't have to play and we prefer to go down the social route first so it avoids awkward situations...oh unless we're at a club when we're wanting to play

Having said that if we did cancel we would contact the person involved as we believe manners cost nothing

I always tell them. I may be a little economical with the reason why as it's no excuse to hurt anyone's feelings, but I feel it's better to bring closure to even the shortest of 'relationships' - even one's just carried out through messages here - as you never know what hopes the other person had for that potential meeting.

ted.
