why do couples wink yet do not chat

As a single woman on here,i can relate to what men say about no reply.i often get random friends requests and winks from woman and couples,i use to answer with a message being polite,thanking them for the wink and introduce myself,hoping that will start for a convo,i get no reply,read message,or deleted lol ive given up answering there winks now had two today nothing back,im clear about what i want from here so why bother winking in first place If im not what there looking for

I've had random friend invites from couples too, and when I've accepted them, same as you; no reply.

I think maybe one partner may like the look of a given profile, but when the other half gets home, and checks you/me out, says 'no thanks' and they move on?

It's a bit discourteous to say nothing to you, but I guess their inboxes are full of offers?

I never take any notice of winks now for that same reason. I've winked back in the past the nothing

Friends requests without a chat first is rude in my opinion. I have it on my profile that I only add those I meet but they still get sent

The worst ones are those who send them when I'm on line, usually from picture-less profiles. I just ignore so then they can't send again for 30 days

We make it clear (well, I hope we do!) in our profile how we now view winks. If we get a wink, we'll look at the profile and if we'd like to talk, we'll wink back - then it's up to the other party to respond. No response = no go. End of, and we don't lose sleep over it.

If we wink someone, then it's the same the other way round.

If we got a message back from you, OP, we'd NEVER ignore it, even if it was just to say 'Thanks but on reflection, it's a no-go'.

Have to ask if you read the profiles of people who wink at you before messaging? Not trying to be rude, but we only wink back maybe 20% of all those who wink at us - and as for messaging.... 'maybe' 1 in 10 (at most!) simply because there is something 'not quite right' about it.... gut instinct features heavily at the initial stages of contact for us, through bitter exerpience...

We don't mind getting winks rather than unsolicited friends requests, shows an interest, we only ever wink back if we're interested and then leave it down to them to get in contact, if we send a wink and get it returned then we initiate contact via a message.

Going to have a friends cull this morning though as fed up with people in our list that we don't hear back from !

We wink at single women as we have given up writing a message as most do not bother to even reply.

So we leave the ball in their court.

well I seem to have done the right thing by a polite reply when I've been winked recently, from what the couples above are saying it's up to the single person to contact.

Yes im slow to answer anyone because always read there profiles,If too far use to say thankyou but too far,or polite no thx,or would show interest then get nothing. I tried a theory yest 2 winks back instead of message and still nothing lol it only seems to be woman and couples that seem to not reply lol i walk into a club and am very confident have no prob meeting couples,chat and sometimes play

I agree here it really annoys me! They wink and constantly look at my profile yet when I emailed them thanking for the wink they ignore it! Why bother looking and winkibg when your not interested?? Arrrrrgh talk about a headfook!

I don't accept 99% of random friend requests without a prior chat or at least a message.

If they are persistent, i wait till they are offline, then accept, look at their private gallery, then remove them from friends list straight away.
