can anyone tells us what exactly the hotlist is and what it's use is

It's just a list of peoples profiles that you may be interested in. Just add them to the hotlist then you don't have to look all over the place to find them in the future

You can save your favourite profiles in there or people you want to get in touch with at some point or people you have already messaged and don't want to message again for some reason
