Just a quick query, how long do you wait before you class someone a no show if they haven't contacted you beforehand to say their running late? I've been told my 20 minutes is too short

For a first meet, I'd say that 20 minutes is spot on. Even if delayed by traffic, this gives them long enough to find somewhere to pull over, so they can phone you to give you a new ETA.

For a remeet, I'd wait longer - maybe 40 mins (cus I know they're worth waiting for )

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

My personal rule is 30 mins or whenever I finish my drink, whichever is the shortest.

me personally i'd give them 5 mins them text them if I didn't get a reply within 5 mins of texting i'd leave

I wouldn't hang about, a friend of mine arranged a meet once and waiting for them, they didn't show, next time he logged on he got a message from the profile he arranged to meet telling him they was sat watching him waiting for them, what he was wearing, what time he left etc I found that creepy and put me off hanging about for meets

I'd give them about 30 mins depending on where we were meeting and where he was coming from.

There are a lot of windy country roads and slow moving tractors in these parts lol plus no signal in some places

I'm with you on the half hour rule.

Personally as a male, I consider it rude not to be there on time. If delsayed or running late then the text or call would be BEFORE the meeting time, not after.

Just my point of view as I am told I am old fashioned.

I always have my Kindle with me so don't mind a read and drink while waiting.

I generally expect everyone else to be late, or at least later than me, mainly because i always factor in 15 minutes for stuff to go wrong when i'm getting ready to go anywhere.

So i'm often 10 to 15 minutes early for everything. I just add that to the 30 minutes i'm prepared to wait for someone to show up from the time we agreed.
