I've been here a while and noticed that quite a few women express interest in meeting "older" guys but when I check their friends lists most seem to have a cut off in the mid 50's. Is the world over for us older guys or am I just the exception, I wonder.

I think it's realistic to expect sexual interest in us to wane as we grow older.

Older meant something quite different to me at 29 than it does now I'm 69.

To be fair, unless you are known or something rather special, most men struggle on here.

I have a mate (68 yes old) who is on regular dating sites and he's had more sex with different ladies than I've had messages on FAB. (That includes replies).

He's looking for a long-term relationship but finding more shags than a lot on this site and hook-ups wh is what its for. 😆

I think my definition will change as I get older. Currently mid 60s would be my cutoff point, but I can see that extending to the 70s as time goes by.

Although saying that, it's on a person by person basis for me. I've seen some less than ideal women in their early 20s, and gorgeous women in their 60s. Everyone is different!

Tbh - we were ageist against ourselves when we entered the lifestyle & yes sometimes it can be a chore & hard work meeting people on fab- however, clubs & parties are completely different & one thing we've learnt is that there are no age barriers if theres a physical attraction

It does become a catch 22 situation as the people we would like to meet don't want to meet us, and those that express interest in meeting us, we don't want to meet them.

As with anything swinging does have a shelf life.

Maybe so, but there's a whole scene out there for the more mature players in the lifestyle, just takes a while longer to sort the wheat from the chaff

It's unique personal preference for each of us, so trying to ask about everyone isn't possible.

You need to expect as an individual that it takes a lot of effort to be invested, to search for and find the tiny minority of people who are mutually compatible with you. We can use clubs, Fab socials and tools like Advanced Search, to find people who could be interested and a match. The rest don't matter. Just focus on those who might match. If there's 1 or more existing, you're in luck
