Club recommendations for first timers!

Sheffield

Me and my partner are wanting to visit a club in August for the first time. We are from Sheffield so would like to know options in and around sheffield within an hour and half drive max! Let us know your recommendations please!

Oh really? I have a friend not on fab wanting to go along with me and my boyfriend so not exactly alone. So people just tend to stay in groups and not mix?

We've played with loads of people at clubs, and we rarely knew anyone before we arrived.

Maybe it's just you?

Not all clubs are like this, Quest in Leeds is very welcoming when it comes to new people. I host events myself at the club. Depending which night you can go out on will depend which event is best for you or non event if you want to become members at the club

If its non membership you want to get at a club you're best checking out Quest website. They do a few events that welcome non members but need to go on a guestlist. Also bi Tuesdays are always open to non members, you just need to bring full photo ID and something with your postal address on

Club Play in Blackpool doesn't require membership and you can do other fun stuff there too. Be aware some people have travelled 100 miles to a club and bumped into someone they know. Our attitude would be "so what?".

Quest is a great choice for newcomers as it's not overly large so creates a smaller intimate atmosphere and there's plenty of good areas to socialise.

Another vote for Quest and especially one of Kinky Little M's events. You will get a warm welcome and it's a very friendly club for newcomers with an easy layout.

I’m happy to second the suggestion of The Mirage. In general I’d recommend trying any club that has some non-members nights so you can try without extra cost. I don’t imagine you’d be short of people happy to chat to you both wherever you went. Play cannot be guaranteed anywhere, but I’ve seen newbies welcomed plenty of times

Blackpool

Blackpools Club Play has no membership and is very welcoming to newcomers, just check out the club reviews. The Diva (real name Vicky) is particularly known to take newbies under her wing and show them the ropes, hence why she’s mentioned so often in the reviews

For London I would say OP4F

Not that I’ve been to a whole lot but if you are new and want somewhere that is welcoming with a lot of voyeurs activities then this is the place for you
