"How are you supposed to politely respond to a message that is just that one word? Asking for a friend Don't reply! No reply is a polite reply, it's in Fabs FAQS.

"Our best recent one was, "Hey" which we didn't reply to - politely, of course That's why we only meet in clubs as people tend to be more social and conversational there

"We did once reply "hey" to a message that said "hey", they then sent "X" The art of communication is a dying trend it seems. We blocked single males from messaging as we got fed up of single emoji messages

"You could respond with another word and see what happens. I've found a polite Hey back is enough to kill the conversation When we ask and they explain we respond with "well shouldn't it be wayut then"....it can go all sorts of ways after that.

"We did once reply "hey" to a message that said "hey", they then sent "X" I always attempt to mention things in the profile or interests they've mentioned, and sometimes I get back a "hey" and I think what a waste of my time. Do I then need to come up with questions after the first attempt? Because hey isn't a no is it. Or worse they wink at you, you message and then theres no response. I think, I like to talk but as you say its a dying art. People seem to like "hey" "fuck?" "Yeah" although I've met none of them but can only assume thats what they want.

"How are you supposed to politely respond to a message that is just that one word? Asking for a friend I don't respond at all to just one word messages. I delete them. If they put no effort in why should I?
