Age old story, new here, single man etc

I love how this site works and appreciate it is inundated with men like me but how do you get the first reply, wink, conversation?

Please don't shoot me down or patronise. It is a genuine question.

For us, it’s someone that’s read our profile.

We’ve previously had a descriptive profile. We’re not meeting at the moment for our own reasons, and have changed the profile to reflect this.

We currently have around a hundred messages that have been received, most of them asking if we can meet, or do we fancy meeting etc….

It’s soul destroying replying to the same messages time after time.

Definitely someone who demonstrates they've read our profile.

We'd genuinely like to know what about us made someone send us a message.

Polite, flirty and a bit of humour.

But, ultimately we need to get a feel they are on our wavelength. We're all different so most people simply won't match with each other.

I would agree with the above answer. Having been continually asked the same questions I changed my profile to include FAQs so that anyone messaging could get on with having a conversation but most of the time it hasn't worked sadly.

I'm not tarring all the couples or ladies with the same brush so please don't hunt me down and burn me at the stake.

My message will often start with a compliment on the username, profile pictures etc, a little bit of detail on me and some encouragement to ask me any questions they wish.

Still absolutely fuck all reply. Often left unread. Or they read it, don't have a look at my profile and don't reply. The best thing to do is delete the sent message as soon as its sent and don't get down if your on hold for a looooooong time. The good times will come my man.

"Or they read it, don't have a look at my profile and don't reply."

You won't see that we've looked at your profile because like a LOT of couples and single women, we don't show when looking. Stops all the "you looked at me, why didn't you message?" messages.

But ask yourself if, having sent a message and the recipient looking at your profile, it represents you in the best possible light?

"I love how this site works and appreciate it is inundated with men like me but how do you get the first reply, wink, conversation?"

It's mostly a matter of timing. You can send the best message and have the best profile but if we're on a downer, just been let down, tired, overworked, for any other reason not looking to meet in the next few days then the chances are you'll get deleted.

Yes, you might be perfect but extrapolate a couple of perfect guys every day and having to then keep online chat going with each one plus more every day until such a time as we want to meet. It's just not feasible.

It's unfortunate that it's almost luck, not the effort put in. Maybe still to messaging people you match with who have also recently posted a status or meet saying they're looking to meet?

Men gotta start reading profile text

It's like 1 in 20 who actually do

It gets frustrating having the same conversations over and over

Vibrators don't ask stupid questions just saying

Treat it like you would talking to a lady in a bar. You wouldn't walk in with your cock out. Or start with can I fuck you.

No matter what people think the site is about respectfulness may not open doors but does allow for conversation.

I rarely look at winks, always forget they’re there.

I’m mostly on here to meet women which states in my profile.

If I can see a man has made the effort to read my profile, is verified, has tasteful pics and doesn’t send a friend request before a conversation I will make the effort to reply. If I’m sent an unsolicited dick pic, even if they have still done all of the above it’s an instant no

"Face pic, polite, handsome."

Third one is subjective. We turn down an awful lot of "handsome" guys because we prefer character and interesting.

Must admit we are the same, handsome can mean something different to everyone.

You’re someone that the person you’re messaging is someone they’re attracted to, or interested in.

For us if it’s a polite message, not requesting stuff straight away ( you be surprised the messages we get ) and clearly taken time to least browse our profile then you will get a reply. Sometimes we do reply to the other messages but just to tell them off then block them but it does depend what time we have. We agree that it’s hard for single men but sadly there are so many that treat people so badly, message horrific things and basically give all single men a bad rap. We understand it’s not ALL but sadly it’s most.

We are pretty much the same. If its a blank picture with no real message, we just delete it. If someone seems nice we will try and reply.

We get like 30 new messages a day here. Even people we are mid chat to get pushed away and missed because of all the dick pics and "let's arrange a meet"

You want a reply? Just like everyone else says. Read the bio and be nice!

Even as a single male I get a fair few 'hey' messages.

It's clear that women and couples might get hundreds a day.

Impossible to reply to all, and easy to see why the people who haven't read profile or any of the other things mentioned don't get a reply.

I think most of the single men, if they were ever on here as a couple, would go down same route.

I also wish people would read the masses of previous threads on similar topics. All of them say exactly the same thing.

It's like reading 8 books on how your car will run out of petrol if you don't fill up, then getting annoyed when you run out of petrol.

Terrible analogy, but you get my drift.

Carlisle usually

An interesting message, clearly written specifically for me rather than being bland enough to copy paste to everyone, from a profile with varied pictures that show enough of their body to know and have a decent sense of attraction, without dick pics or actions shots or other people, with profile text that actually tells me something and indicates compatibility rather than the bland enough to not put people off spam.

And with all those factors, I need to also consider overall to be remotely appealing 💜

You are a bit far away but start with a name that makes me think we might have an interesting conversation.... Maldini... do you value him more highly for his defensive abilities or his goal scoring abilities?
