Am I the odd male out?

Over the last year or two, I have only sent a first message maybe 4 times. Those 4 lost in the sea of hundreds they received and never read. Whereas the first messages sent to me, all be it a small amount in number, were pure quality.

My profile say, you'll have to message first.

Is anyone else happy to sit back and wait?

I've sent four messages this year. Comparatively speaking, in regards to most/some men on here, I rarely send a first message.

90% of all my interactions, socials and dates have been on the back of women sending the first message.

If I didn't send the first message on here, then I would be having basically no conversations. I get maybe a handful a year, and even then they're not exactly great and enticing.

But I am starting to drastically reduce the amount of first messages I send now. The effort doesn't seem worth it anymore really.

Every meeting bit of fun I've had is from someone who messaged me or I met at a club.

On the rare occasion I've sent a message, it's almost never been looked.or responded to.
