I genuinely couldn't believe it.

A male acquaintance of mine set up a female profile on here as an experiment. As a single guy, I'd always wondered whether people were exaggerating when they said they had hundreds of unread messages and had to keep deleting them.

They weren't.

In just a few hours, a profile with virtually no information on it had attracted over 500 messages.

I think I've finally had my "Fab enlightenment" moment. 😂

It certainly explains why so many women and couples have little patience for low-effort messages from single men. When you're trying to drink from a fire hose, "Hi, how are you?" probably isn't going to make the cut.

Not for me. If I see a profile with next to nothing written on it and it's been created hours earlier, it screams SCAM to me!

When I rejoined I hid my profile for a little while. Enabled me to get my filters in place, sort my profile and stop being seen as fresh wank meat.

The "hello beautiful" messages when you haven't even put a profile picture up are hilarious.

Any new female profile is going to get absolutely hammered in the first few days. Our couples profile would regularly get over 100 a day but after a year that drops of considerably. Also worth mentioning that of those hundreds of messages, a good 95 percent were still "hey", "how's u", "how are you finding Fab", "free tonite?" and went straight in the bin. Blokes moan that women are only interested in the top 5% and that's true - but it's not about having six packs and 8 inches that gets you into that 5%, it's about making a fucking effort.

When I joined this time I instantly put my age filters to only meet men age 98 to 99 until the 3 dsy new member notice passed. I had 1 man create a new account as a 98 year old to message me.
