Hey all,

We’ve been on the site for years but never really managed to delve as far as we would like.

One thing we have never done is a go to a club, the Bristol social is always when we aren’t free (our problem not theirs) but we come to Bournemouth a lot and see there’s a few clubs here but never feel brave enough to take the plunge as we feel too nervous as there are so many unknowns. Should we do it? Is it normal to feel this nervous? Any advice would be massively appreciated.

Can only speak from our own first experience when we went to Chameleons (Darlaston).

So, if a reputable club - just do it, you will NOT regret it.

We arrived, were given a tour of the club and then just relaxed in the public area's.

People may engage in conversation, they may compliment or they may just go about their business.

If a reputable club, it will be no different to any other environment. There will be no pressure, no touching, no nothing unless you permit it!

If it is not like this, then you need to choose a more reputable club.

Been to a few clubs over the years mainly LGBTQ friendly fetish or swingers clubs. I have always found the majority (if not all) will have a social space basically no playing just for talking and making new friends. Then they’ll be a play space which will have rooms to indulge your fantasies in.

I would encourage everyone to attend as it’s generally a safe place where the majority know the rules and are respectful of them.

Thank you both.

The social room does sound good. I wonder if e we could look round before it opened it may give a bit of familiarity to it and make it less nerve wracking

You can't usually look around before they open but they will usually give you a tour on your first visit. Our advice is to just go with no expectations, go have a drink and check the place out you will be fine 🙂

The Heathrow Social is held at Ignite and might tick the boxes for you.

The social is held in the club and starts at 7 'till 9 and then the club is open as usual. So you'll have 2 hours in the bar area, look around, relax before the club night starts.

Bit of a journey from you but there is a Premier Inn next door.

Tickets sell out every month and go early.

I love hearing peoples stories of their first club visits. All I can say is, they are a bit like pubs but people are friendlier and wear less clothes. Oh and you will probably see naked people having sex of some description during the course of the evening 🤣

Absolutely you should do it.

Clubs are something we all need to experience once. Some will rush back for more, others dont.

Its not really my thing anymore.

I’d recommend anyone trying a club. Worst case scenario, you don’t go back - although clubs are all different so it’s worth trying more than one if you’re not keen on your first!

Do some research - some clubs are dress up where others are dress down on arrival, into lingerie/towels etc.

Look at the different nights - many clubs only allow couples and women on Saturday evenings plus there are events aimed at different dynamics such as hot wife couples, so choose something that appeals.

V2V in Nuneaton is very welcoming to newbies and has a huge social area so you can chat and see where the night takes you.

Definitely take the plunge and go.

Treat it like any other night out and aim to chat, laugh and have fun. Sex is a bonus. You will be surprised how normal clubs are.

Clubs do each have a different vibe and you should try a few to find out which you enjoy the most.

I would say clubs can be clicky, and making a few connections online before you go really helps. Either check out the meets page or post your own. Putting it on your status also let's people know you might be up for meeting.

I can think of 3 clubs in Bournemouth, and there are a couple of regular parties. Each is different so read the reviews and perhaps reach out to people who've left reviews that seem on your wavelength. They can give you an idea of what to expect, and you may even manage to arrange a meet for your first visit. x Lo x

Hi, we live near Bournemouth and regularly go to clubs here. Our favourite is Bournemouth Swingers Club (their profile on here is Bournemouth Swingers) which has a social every Wednesday night and a party most Saturday nights.

It's always difficult to make that first move to visit a club but I could (for example) guarantee you of a warm welcome on the next two Wednesdays as I will be on the front desk !

You always get a tour, the crowd here is always very friendly, no pressure to play, and there is a great sauna / jacuzzi / steam room. Towels/lockers provided free.

Other clubs we have tried in Bournemouth - Temptations (on here as Paradise Health Spa for some reason) which is dress down/ BYOB, and Canvas Nightclub which has swingers events though we haven't been to many of them.

The hardest part is walking through the doors for the first time. Once you're in you'll wonder why you waited so long to go. I only meet at my local club xtasia as i find it much easier to meet people there.

Be careful with alcohol. We have seen on many occasions when nervous newbies drink too much and then can’t play and regret it xx
