People should be allowed to wear what they want with no judgement. After all women wear shorts and trousers why cant men wear skirts and dresses if they wish

There’s a German guy who wears skirted business suits to work that I follow on insta. He’s got better legs than me and fucking rocks his suits while still remaining incredibly masculine.

There are also rather a lot of boho hippie style male skirt options without crossing any boundaries for cd/tv looks if that’s your thing.

Honestly yeah you might raise some eyebrows but do what you want and be comfortable

You can also get long (ankle length) men's skirts that have pockets, belt loops and zip flies

Off work this week so it's going to be wall to wall short skirts and dresses with stockings or overknees.

If we normalise men wearing skirts and dresses, what will TV/CDs do?

Clothes are just fabric and don’t have a gender, society put a gender to them at some point , wear what you’re comfortable wearing and enjoy yourself

"Clothes are just fabric and don’t have a gender, society put a gender to them at some point , wear what you’re comfortable wearing and enjoy yourself "

We had this discussion very recently. Look back through history and skirts in some form were very common for men. Some cultures have held onto that while others have become fixated on trousers for men. 🤷

What woman doesn't love a guy in a kilt? Perception and acceptance are strange things.

love your reply and unfortunately the society we live in some people think it’s wrong , I go out in Leeds wearing a mini skirt with lingerie underneath and Leeds is an acceptable city in a lot of the bars , I wouldn’t wear a skirt in my home town which I’d love to do , I’d wear a skirt every day in public if I could but some people think it’s wrong unfortunately

But if you did, and everyone just thought you were wearing normal clothes for a guy, rather than thinking you were dressed like a woman, would it make a difference?

But would they still particularly enjoy it? That's my whole question.

I'd suggest that most men who identify as TV/CD (especially on a site like this) do so because of the transgressive thrill they get from "dressing as a woman". If you get rid of gender based dress codes, then "dressing as a woman" doesn't make any sense, and you've destroyed all the fun.

I've not seen many women who identify as TV or CD. I'd say that it's for exactly that reason.

(Note that none of this discussion is about trans-sexuals.)

I think it is standard attire for scottish men, well when they get married at least.

My work has a business casual informal dress code, which disappeared during covid. Before though, the occasional man would come in with shorts on, and get told not to do it again.

For the next week, 1 guy came in with skirts on. They tried to kick off but he backed them into the corner with the choices women have.

Anyway, wear what you want, nut sadly, society may not be as accepting. Some people are dicks. I dont know how something as trivial as clothing should have a gender.

Heels were created for men. Corsets look great on men. As do knickers (they are better material too). Greeks wore dresses. Scots wear kilts commando style.

Go for it and have fun

I wear a kilt on occasion. It’s not a traditional, heavy tartan fabric, as I bought it through a military/combat clothing company. It’s all black canvas material, with pockets attached, making it very wearable all day.

It is nice to get the occasional cool breeze ‘up there’ lol….
