I'm approaching couples and single women, but what should I put in my first message?

sometimes I wonder..

- should I keep it short, post a face pic and not waste both our times if there's no attraction?

- should I write a long message talking about their profile? or myself?

- do I include my likes in the first message?

anything else? any suggestions?

obviously I read profiles first and acknowledge certain points, but I never know whether to make the first message a long one or not.. and I know that everyone is different so it's not a one size fits all type jobby, and I also know that couples might have different opinions to single women.. and even if some men can give some advice on what works for them?

You already have face pics on your profile so there's no need to send one. Pay them a compliment and comment on their profile to show you've read it.

I think if you read some of the profile advice threads then took a look at your own, you might spot a couple of things that might be putting people off....

Op we always look at a person's profile before reading a message. If the profile looks like someone we'd play with theessage doesn't really matteruch as long as there are no red flags in it.

This is good advice

Very short messages = no ta

Very long messages (cut and paste jobbies) = no ta

Empty profiles with zero effort = no ta

As has been suggested above, read people’s profiles, comment in your message on a pic or aspect of their profile to show you aren’t just randomly spamming every profile here without even reading it … which sadly some people clearly do!

It's important to make realistic expectations here - people don't typically reply, if they assess you as not mutually compatible, which most people are not

Give people a reason to reply. Show them why you think you’re compatible and give them something to reply to - a question about a club they’ve been to or an event they’re going to for example.

single male - first approach
