Can anyone (maybe the members who have this on their profile) explain to me how they expect to meet?

For someone or even a couple...who state on their profile that 'they cannot accommodate' and 'they cannot travel'..do they expect the o.p. to 'taxi them' about??

I think they mean they can't travel long distances but will meet locally at a hotel, club or perhaps the other person's home.

The accom in a hotel or at yours or a club, they use public transport or walk so cant travel far or maybe ask you to collect them

Also travelling long distances takes time and may involve an overnight stay they can't do if they have children at home or are a carer.

For some, it might be used as a deterrent, it doesn't necessarily mean they can't do either. I know because I had it on my profile before, and that's how I used it.

For me if they can't do both, they want online only. Simple enough to understand

Paphos and also SW UK

Some members do explain this more in their profile.

For one lady, doesn't drive, was happy to get herself to a localish meet for social. She didn't want anyone meeting at hers first off. Hence she put 'can't' for both.

Like you've said, we all need to be more open minded when looking at other peoples circumstances.

They might be happy to meet locally, not just chat online.

I'd say your best bet if you see a profile that really interests you which states they can't travel/can't travel is to just ask them.

As you can see already from the few answers here, it's going to mean different things to different people. I'm just about to change my own profile to say the same as ongoing car trouble means I can only meet locally where public transport is available.

Read the first line of my profile. I think it explains what you’re asking

A lady I met and have met with frequently has that on her profile, as it turns out she can do both, but as a single mum with two children one with special needs, her spare time is limited and dependent on her responsibilities , but with good communication nothing is insurmountable,

I don't drive and don't live with other people. That's the basis of it for me.

Outside of that, I'm happy to walk a reasonable way. Less than an hour is my limit. Maybe get a bus for somebody I've met before or have a good enough feeling about.

If I'm somewhere for something else, I'll mention it in my profile/status depending on how long I'm there for.

Do live. I do live with other people. Not the type who'd be fine with me fucking under their roof.

Damn. An edit button would be nice.
