How do you deal with people who know you on here?

I've been off here for about 4-5 years and made my way back recently. Within days, I woke up to a text off a random number saying they found my profile. Just that, nothing else.

I didn't respond, given that it wasn't exactly threatening and they've not got back in touch. I started to remove photos that could identify me and put them in in friends only. I'm staying on here as it really would be nice to meet someone. But I also have a business and people close to me to think about. As much as this lifestyle is something I 100% want, I do get concerned about being recognised and approached in a more serious way.

Has anyone else had similar experiences?

They didn't no, just a very plain message to say they'd seen me. Very frustrating when you're just trying to crack on with getting set up again on here!

When I first joined and had my face on profile I recieved a msg from someone who knew me and went as far as telling me my address.

His profile is all secretive as he's a gf & kids at home while meeting M & F 🤷🏼‍♀️ none of my business.

I still don't know who he is but he did apologise for the inappropriate msg when I told him how much I didn't appreciate it.

I had something similar once. Not a txt, but messages on here from someone who clearly did know me. I deleted my profile and came back a while later with different pics and nothing that would identify me. It's all too creepy

Haven't had it happen touch wood , Sounds awful for you and out of order to contact you anonymously , If we recognised someone we would respect their privacy and just move on , We certainly would not contact them .

Must've used a pic I'd used on fb and shown up on the suggested friends 🤷🏼‍♀️ only explanation I could come up with for the stranger to have known.

I reported that one and his profile disappeared.

I think I'd posted a dress pic on here and to fb and that's when it was seen

I chatted to a cpl for a while and agreed to send my face pic . I received no reply but my then wife got a txt telling her I was on fab swingers . I have an ideas of whom it may have been but no hard evidence

I hate it when people do this to others, but keep their own identity under wraps.

It smacks of trying to worry the other person or keep them guessing if they would reveal it to anyone else.

I haven't had it done, I've had it the other way, people incorrectly thinking they know me, when I'm not who they think I am.

I'd block the number op and maybe hide your profile for a bit, not yuay you should have to!.

We’ve had a picture of a couple sent to us and Ash knew the male half, months down the line and now Ash has ended up working with him in the same office, I made my excuses and declined to meet at the time and he’s just not mentioned it in the office for obvious reasons.

Also I had a former family member who is in a couple on here and they message us and delete their profile every few months. If feels like they are doing it to try and find out who we are which is quite unnerving but luckily we have worked out it’s them every time before sending them any face pics

Yes I was approached by my daughters brother in law on here, actually I was annoyed he could have kept that knowledge to himself self my family don’t know I do this, not like I would ever meet him in a fabbing sense, he said he would leave the site but I doubt he did, or changed to a different profile he never had pictures on his profile,

I have only had it once and someone I know recognised my pictures but didn’t do anything sinister but the next time we saw each other she told me she had seen my pics but then she showed me hers so that we had a mutual secret

A guy I went to school with years ago saw that I was the same age as him. He even identified himself and he can even accommodate. He’s not a tranny but I’m afraid if once he knows who I am it will make life difficult. I know he would have a lot to lose like myself but I just don’t know what to do. Shall I come out to him

Problem is, not everyone is here for the same. Some are sightseers, lots of new female profiles these days seem to be girls promoting their social media and "content", and some of the apparently (or even actually) genuine ones like to stir and cause aggro.

If someone I knew were on here, I'd probably block/ignore them. If it were someone I was interested in, I might risk a message along the lines of "I think we know each other, we're looking for the same and I quite like you anyway, but happy to mutually co-exist on here without drama if you're not interested" and reassure her that it won't be mentioned outside here. I'd expect the same respectful, sincere approach from anyone messaging me. We should all be able to deal with it like adults and not create waves if the attraction's not mutual.

I found one of my friends on here because I noticed his girlfriend‘s tattoo in one of their pictures. Sat on it for a few weeks and didn’t really know what to say then ended up chatting about swinging and we both realise we had a common interest was quite nice to offload and chat to somebody else about our feelings knowing that nothing‘s gonna happen to jeopardise our friendship.

When I was with my ex we were messaged a couple of times by guys who knew her, but we didn’t play with her.

Also at a club one time she was being greedy and a guy she knew was there. He joined in and then we found out he had a profile on here.

Also found some ladies I knew/worked with, one of which I didn’t know she was bi-curious. We met at a club, the three of us ended up playing - she wasn’t curious anymore after that

Google Image search on face pics will often bring up people's LinkedIn, Facebook etc. Never have any photos on here that are on Social Media and ensure that there's nothing identifying.

I (male) was stalked by an ex a few years back which was a really horrendous experience. It amazes me how people will happily have face pics and other identifying stuff on their profiles.

As for the weirdo texting you....probably a mate of yours who's on here trying to wind you up. Have a look at local males and I suspect you may find your culprit. Or, get one of those free pay as you go Sim Cards and message that number saying you've seen them on Fab....
