Club meet costs

I realise this is a bit of a "how long's a piece of string" question, but how much would a single man expect to pay to go to a mixed club night, as opposed to a single woman? If, say, that single woman was being charged £20?

I'm coming from the kink world and I realise things are done differently in swing, but I'd like to have an idea of what's seen as fair.

Thanks in advance.

Depends on the club, but in some places a single male will pay double if not more.

There’s nothing “fair” about it mate.

This thread is just about to descend into a diatribe concerning single guy costs versus women’s but as has been stated on a million and one threads in a similar vein.

Clubs all advertise their prices.

Take it or leave it.

A wank or the usual from your Mrs will always be the cheaper option.

The cost is the cost, pay it and go, or don't.

As a guy, your bigger problem will be getting on the list. Club male spots fill up quick, and can be very limited.

Hope that helps.

Thank you, that's about what I thought but it's nice to have it confirmed.

I'm just trying to understand, not to criticise. You're right, that's how it's done and I'll pick my clubs based on what I can afford.

It can vary between clubs a lot and the effective cost of entry will include the membership fees too. It could make it cheaper to travel to a place a bit further away. Best to assess it on how many times you'll expect to go and then calculate your total cost of entry accurately, over a year. Look for new member nights too

Generally, clubs Up North are the least expensive with clubs in London being the most expensive.

I would say you'd be looking at between £30ish to £100+

Seeing that you're in Farnham, I think your closest options are Ignite or Hellfire which would be around £60 on a Friday or Saturday or about £40 on a Sunday.

I know Ignite sometimes do half price entry Fridays

When I was a single guy cost was important to me. Especially as also a being a single parent I had to watch the household budget and had very little free time to make a pricey membership pay off. So as a single guy many clubs were simply off limits to my circumstances and willingness to spend even if my circumstances were different.

For me this is why the Attic was a lifeline and my first access into the club scene. No membership required and reasonable entry free. The costs even left change for a reasonably price hotel room. Which was handy as its a bit of a travel and I like a beer. If the Naughty Pineapple Leicester had have been around in those day I totally would have gone there as a single guy too. It's a great club as a single guy that doesn't hit guys extortionately too.

"Whatever it costs its going to be cheaper than a hotel."

Actually not necessarily. All depends on the club and hotel.

Myself and Lady friend were going to meet another couple at a new club nearby.

We would have had to join as a couple, and then pay an entry fee. But if in the future I wanted to go as a single male then I would have to join as a single member and pay again.

It worked out cheaper booking a hotel and getting the other couple round there. We even got some food and drinks and made a night of it.

Our usual club is women £20, couples £40 and single men £50 but only on friday night. Same with most of the other clubs round this way.

Tbh for me the club entrance cost is a tiny part of what it can cost me for a night out. Specialist dementia sitters aren't cheap and it really goes through the roof after midnight. Think extreme babysitters . Occasionally I manage to get a friend of my dad's to stay but it's not often and it's unfair to stop out late.

Still better for him than full time residential care at the moment.

The best thing I’d suggest is to look at the clubs you’re interested in and see what they charge. The cost is what it is, so you just need to decide if you’re happy to pay.
