Getting Tested

Cheshire

So, we've had a swift nip around the block. Like with everything, testing things are still OK might be a good idea. We very much doubt that we'd come out as needing any attention, but as it's responsible to do sometimes, perhaps we should get looked at.

We're wondering where to get a good comprehensive report on our sexual health. All advice would be grateful received.

Many thanks

ThNks but regrettably they don't support our area. No idea why, apparently its just not for us.

Oh boy this isn't as easy as it looks. They all seem to be not funded for our area. I guess we're just not promiscuous enough around here.

Great Sutton,ellesmere Port

Any Cheshire heath clinic should be a walk in November appointment nessessary, quick chat with the practitioner and take your swab kit home, test yourself then drop off in the discreet box at the clinic, don't think it has to be in your own town, just the county

It all depends whether you're happy to pay or you'd prefer free tests. Tesco has introduced loads of different test kits, not just for STDs. Fettle is good, but not free.

It depends on your postcode as to what's available. Sh24 are great if they cover your area, if not Google your nearest place to go and get tested for free or lloyds pharmacy online have kits you can buy at reasonable prices that I've used before too.

Sexual Health Hub cover Cheshire West. They do free online tests (through Sh:24 now) but you need to go through the SHH website.

Unsure about Cheshire East.

Carlisle usually

Looks like Axess cover your area.

I too am in one of the regions SHUK don't cover, and for some reason whenever I look online I can't book an appointment through the online service even though a friend can at the same time. But you can generally call these people and book in that way 💜

I actually have an appointment now. It seems on line is just a front for organisations to look like they're doing what they say they will. It takes a phone call to make it happen. The modern world is a bit shit really.

Postal is seemingly impossible in my area. Must be far too cost effective for our local NHS.

It just supports my belief that I need the top job in the NHS. I could cut so many pointless costs

It's vitally important to check regularly and the NHS is ideal, even though they are under funding arrangements of local authorities.

I'd take time off from work, to get to limited appointment times. You can obviously pay privately for testing but having NHS cover is helpful and comprehensive. I test at least every 3 months.
