‘Standing out from the crowd’

Have noticed lots of profiles recommending this. If you get regularly inundated by single men, what actually *does* make a message jump out for you?

I try to be light hearted, compliment the people I’m writing to and tell them a little about myself. What am I missing?

Truthfully - I have to fancy them, or be intrigued enough by their public photos to open the message.

If the message is semi-decent and not full of rants then it's a case of do I like the face pic xx
