I am coming to the end of my membership period and looked at renewing but gold only lasts 30days now I'm sure i got about 9 months last time .As it changed

Afaik it's only text and call upgrades that are 30 days.

Other payment methods offer different options on subscription length

Did you upgrade by phone or other methods? As £5 per phone gives you 30 days of gold membership or 45 of silver. It has not changed any time recently, as far as I'm aware.
