Hi

As new members we have a couple of tech questions (sorry to be really boring!!!)

If we block someone will they be told and if we delete a chat/message history we the other person be told?

Thank you

(If we ever bump into you in a club our questions will be much more interesting we promise x)

They will see that you've deleted their messages, yes. They will also be able to see your forum posts.

They will only know you've blocked them when they go to look at your profile or try to message you. They don't receive notification that you've blocked them

It's worth saying that blocking people that are unsuitable is perfectly acceptable.

As is deleting old message threads.

We delete messages as we go otherwise the inbox becomes unmanageable.

the block button is there for a reason, only you need to know that reason.

message filters is a good place to start
