Invite 3 x as many people as you can host as most won't show up, especially to a single mans place.

I don't think anyone complains about there being too many people at a party. The worse outcome is a few more people have to sit on other peoples laps. Far better than the tragedy of too few people.

I would say the best house parties are the ones where the host knows the people well or has trusted recommendations. Great House parties work when the host has selected people they know will really get along. However I also get that relys on you knowing a fair few people on the scene. Either way pick your guests wisely. Because regardless of how nice the house is, how good the buffet is the success of a party is down to the people who attend.

Honestly, I find the best stuff happens when everyone is known well enough to the host.

Ask your guest.

I do know someone who host private parties as a single older man and he seems to have a a great time. The only reason why I declined his invitation is because I'm more focused on my rope play and I don't know his guests well enough to kno if they will let me tie them up or if the know how to tie me up.

I also have odd triggers known and unknown. It's not anyone's fault, it's just something to do with my neuro-physiological wiring (I have autistic and traumatic brain wiring) But it's better if people know physical and psychological first aid.

We had a young lady faint in a chair at one of our socials and straight away everyone was able to put her in the recovery position and get her some water.

I say invite people you know well enough and then ask them what they would like.

Equal m/f is a good way to go or you could mixed it up by doing one month couples, one month single men and women or one month non-binary people.

Usually the parties I've been too have a mix of sweet and savoury snacks and finger food and sausage rolls. Everyone loves a good sausage.

I've been to social picnics and we all rock up with salads, supermarket platters, homemade things, multicultural things (It's London) and various alcoholic treats and a few non-alcoholic mixers and non-alcoholic beers and wine.

You have to know a bit about your guests to cater for them.

I used to work in a supermarket so it was easy for me to know which wines and snacks sold out first in my local area ( Proseccos and Doritos and houmous)

I'm an Omnivert so I've been to lots of different social events with or without sex/nudism/kink/fetish to see how people interact and what they like to drink and eat.

I'm sure you will do well, especially if you put a lot of effort in.

If any ladies would like a male to entertain them at a private party in Lancashire I’d be happy to be the entertainment!
