Did anyone spot a recent AI bot/impersonating a trans member.

They went by the name Amanda. It took a few interactions to identify that their pictures were AI generated.

Thoughts and similar encounters welcome.

I guessed there may have been more. It was quite convincing but clearly something was amiss. The three verifications was the initial red flag they were just too consistent.

I’ve noticed one, when it’s that obvious the account should be shut down.

I got approached by a 'couple' the other day who were obviously an AI.

Constant vague deflections to questions despite them being quite forward about what they were after.

I've not heard of this, apart from people using AI to make photos. I assume it's a person who is behind it rather AI independently making profiles?

Don't name and shame, whatever, as it's still against Fab terms

Thankfully I’ve not seen it here (yet) but porn sites and even other social media sites are full of them. Honestly AI is frightening at times

It's going to be an increasing problem unfortunately. If you live in London, your feed is already overrun by cam models and sex workers and the like obviously phishing, and I suspect a lot of that is historically done by people paying to manually do the spam - with AI, those costs are gonna come way down and the spams gonna hit increasingly remote places.

That's not a Fab exclusive thing and I don't know what anyone does about it. For now, I'd increasingly assume anyone is a bot until proven otherwise.
