Depends.

Is this a 'friends' night? In which case, the pub, a restaurant, bowling, the cinema.....pretty much anywhere two friends would normally go.

Or is this a 'benefits' night? In which case you're probably best off with a hotel.

I think it depends on what things are avaliable and practical. If it's a fwb benifits you already have that chemistry and raport. The aim is surely to just enjoy eachothers company and a sexy time for a bit. It don't need to be about impressive or fancy. Can be just at home, a cheap room, a field or the back seat of a car. Just spending some time together and meeting each others sexual needs is what counts.
