Advice on a situation please?

So I will shorten the situation a little as it’s too long to go into detail.

I would like serious advice or thoughts on this but obviously I will get the sarcasm too, that’s fine but make it interesting lol.

So a associate of my mums past who lives near recently started popping into my mums, she had lost her husband a few years before and had an accident where she now has dizzy spells and some short term memory loss but not bad. My mum had been diagnosed with serve illness so I would say they had a little bond.

I knew this lady from young but only who she was, she had 4 children, 2 younger than myself.

Anyway I would pop in and started seeing her around my mums more often. Just chat like usual, then one day she slapped my leg hard, out of the blue what I thought was strange but put it down to she wasn’t thinking ect. Few weeks later same thing but squeezed my leg hard above the knee.

Anyway she asked if I could look at a radiator that wasn’t getting hot, so I went around after work, bleed it, checked the vale and it started heating, this was in a spare room. She sat on the bed chatting about why I’d didn’t work ect, I sat on the bed waiting to see if it heated up. Then she started saying it was her lodgers room, she had just changed the bed and wanted it nice for him. He stays 3 nights a week. Ect.

Then as we was still sitting she said her kids think there is something going on with her and the lodger. I replied, does it mater, it’s your life do what you like.

With this I got up and said it seems ok and let me know if it plays up. She was straight up off the bed following in me out saying he is half her age how could the think that. I replied if you’re both having fun it’s between you both. I exerted the house with a goodbye like a normal thing.

My question is am I looking into it to much or was there a motive there. Recently she contacted my mum to ask if I could look at her fire to find a part number. I haven’t been around but would like people’s opinion, especially from lady’s in say mid 60’s. Also I’m early 40’s.

What should I do?

Dont overthink it, it could be nothing and you would make a situation weird if you act and there is nothing there.

Just carry on being yourself and if she makes a move then do whatever feels right. As you said about the lodger, your both adults...

It sounds as if the woman had a head injury of some sort if she has dizzy spells and short term memory loss. Do nothing, she's vulnerable and sometimes a head injury can change someone's personality. Avoid being alone with her if you can.

Maybe the lodger could look at her fire and find the part number.

I would have thought that but I don’t think he is in that sort of profession, more of a office worker

Speaking as someone who has lived with a person who had a brain injury it can definitely change their character and make their behaviour unpredictable. If she also has short term memory loss you could be putting yourself in an awkward position. I'd stay away if I was you or if she does make advances just let her down gently.

outside your bedroom window ;-)

She is gaggin for you mate. Next time your round fix the fire and turn it to its highest setting.

After about an hour and the house is like the Sahara desert announce you are too hot and whip of your trousers....but not your socks ....the women love that.

Ill bet you a million lira before you know it she will be too hot and in the scuddy too.

Then all you have to do is ride her until the dream is over.

Could be true, but does that mean that anybody who has a head injury should never have sex again? she sounds lonely and just wants some male company, obviously take it slow and let her make the first move but if you're attracted to her why not have some mutual fun.

No it doesn't mean that they should never have sex. It does mean that their vulnerability shouldn't be exploited.

It's a difficult one because there's nothing as annoying as having had an accident and then finding that everyone treats you as a child who can't take their own decisions. And that's true even for someone who's personality has changed.

The key thing is to be certain that she understands 100% what she is getting in to. She may have decided that after a brush with mortality it's time to have some fun. But you need to be very sure.

I'm not suggesting anyone treats her as a child
