In some cases it might not live up to the expectations of one or both parties.

If one of a couple is only doing it to keep the other happy resentment can build up over time, if one person constantly bangs on about how they want to see their partner with another person it can lead to big problems (see many of the 'how can I persuade my wife'threads), if one continually oversteps boundaries, one tries to set surprise meets up or tries to meet alone behind the others back and if they stop communicating with each other.

There are loads of ways swinging can spoil a relationship but my guess is it would have gone south anyway and swinging reveals the weaknesses

You find couples where one half of you is attracted and wants it......never try and persuade each other.

From experience with my wife, when we first started out i did get quite jealous as she was having all the fun and i was left on the side lines, this is only because after a while from joining we thought it best if we had our own single profiles, cause the couples one wasn’t really getting much notice from other couples.

However a good relationship it helps build. Because it really strengthen the skills to communicate honesty and openly and allows everyone to express their desires without fear. The strongest and best relationships we know tend to be couples on the scene.
