Has anybody been to Rye Harbour beach lately and what was it like? Easy to find? Many people? Many dog walkers etc?

Comments and comparisons on camber sands and fairlight glen also appreciated

Thanks in advance

Round the Bend

Is Rye Harbour beach naturist, I wasn't aware of that. Fairlight Glen is still popular, for the fittest, the path and steps change every year.

Have you explored Normans Bay or Birling Gap (to the West) beaches, they're less of an effort to reach.

a village near Haywards Heath in East Sussex

There are inland naturist sites in Sussex and Kent which are private unlike public beaches.

They seem a bit too busy for us, especially Brighton. Looking for places quieter and pretty.

Whereabouts is the Portslade one, do you drive into the industrial port area?

Also looking for other South East nudist spots, planning a tour in July!

Studland is great, but a mission to drive to.

Well we've tried a few now. Fairlight Glen gets top spot, absolutely beautiful but a trek to get to. We really liked church norton, lovely and peaceful on the edge of a nature reserve. Rye and camber sands both have lovely sandy beaches, camber has the dunes behind for a bit of privacy if needed. Rye is at the end of a lovely nature reserve towards the wave breaks to the west although we saw no other nudists there so unsure if area is used. Didn't like Norman's bay much, just a pebble beach just off the road with no real privacy from all other beach users.

How are the steps down to Fairlight Cove I haven’t made it so far this year and wondering if I’m still up to the climb. The local naturists used to keep them nicely maintained and we visited regularly in our younger days.

Some of steps are just dents in mud but ropes have been fitted to aid use. Easily Manageable for most, even carrying bags etc. If you can make the up and down trek from the car park you can make the final descent

Now living in Spain

We’re staying in Camber sands next year but it’ll be busy on July - August - is their a nudist area there?

Gosh why swop Spain for Camber Sands !

nude sunbathing not allowed signs at Camber when I was there a few years ago, beach between Rye and Winchelsea I’ve never explored but may be ok , anyone else tried it ?

Fairlight Cove is your best option about 30 mins drive from Rye and then 30/40 mins walk down through woods which can be done nude on a quiet day.
