We'd maybe suggest finding a classier way of hiding your face in your first pic, thinking about the age range that you'd like to meet, and adding something with a bit more character in the text - hobbies or something - so people can hang a conversation on something.

Consider a club or organised socials to try and get that important first meet verification, then just have patience.

I think in the pic which isn't your profile pic you look great but it would be much better with your head cropped off than the emoji.
