I think it comes entirely down to the people. I (Mr) was 28 and my ex-partner was 36 when we met. Not a huge gap, but the relationship piled in hard because I was far too immature.

As long as no one was a minor/underage when it started and the younger wasn't groomed into things then age gaps aren't really an issue as long as people are happy.
