So... I get a message out of the blue from a 'couple'.

Pictures are non-searchable and therefore apparently authentic.

But... the profile and the messages have my 'AI-dar' going off like mad.

On a whim I ask ChatGPT about how to identify a chatbot and it gives me some hints.

I show it a couple of the messages and it says 'Oh yeah, major red flags. That's AI written'

Suggestions?

I'm curious as to what the red flags ChatGp picked up on were?

Problem solved certainly. But... the FOMO.

It's like the second non man or TV/TS profile I've had contact me in years.

But I supposed they're also recently joined and have no veris...

It said 'The phrasing feels pre-packaged — vague, overly accommodating, and open-ended in a way that invites just enough input to generate a matching response.'

After I told it my reply to a question they asked it said 'That is completely dissonant with what you said.'

In response to another question/answer pair it said 'Instead, you got blind affirmation — a telltale AI or scripted behavior pattern'

Why not ask for a phone number and speak to them in person?

Doesn't guarantee that it's not a guy switching between his own voice and a higher pitched fake woman's one, but you could always get them to sing a duet together to prove it's not one person. 🤷‍♂️

I don't trust AI to be accurate, it quite often isn't correct in what it says.

I think we will see more and more AI conversations in all walks of life. I saw a man advertising his business using it on Facebook today. It doesn't mean they're fake but it does mean you have no idea of what the person/people behind the profile are like.

It's more likely that they had help to write their profile from an AI

People are always on the forum asking what they should write in their profile, so it's definitely something people struggle with.

Dissonant responses aren't uncommon either. Especially when people are replying to multiple inboxes.

It's right to develop your own parameters for evaluation and especially based on your real life experience. I'm guessing that chat GPT guidance is helpful and I'd probably either give up or move in for the kill, getting them to prove their existence quickly - including video call
