I noticed that a lot of people won't meet someone without veris and the usual advice is to visit a club..I really don't fancy a club as I prefer more intimate surroundings ... any other suggestions..?

You can go into the cam rooms and ask someone in there but most people ignore cam veris. There are also organised socials or you could post looking for a social and see if someone will meet you for a coffee or something.
