Finding the right club for us

Hello you crazy bunch!

Me and my wife have tried a couple of clubs and I think the most recent one may have almost put her off swingers clubs for life! I'm hoping some experienced people might have some advice about what club might be good for us.

New to the scene (only 2 clubs visited) and when you're not used to the environment, a swingers club can be quite a.... creepy environment. I don't want to cause offence when I say that. It was just hidden down a little back ally and it was very quiet even on a Saturday night. Just basically people playing pool in their underwear and a few older gents looking at my wife and touching themselves... which I understand is part of the scene we have entered. I don't even mind it really but if that's ALL we get in a night out, it is hardly worth going. It was kinda boring and we left early.

So keep in mind we both exercise regularly and my wife especially is very attractive. So I'm looking for a less creepy environment, maybe a slightly younger crowd (she's 32, I'm 39 so not super young) and maybe almost like somewhere that would be a nice night even if it wasn't a swingers club. maybe dancing and/or jacuzzi, she'll go on a pole if there is one, that's always fun. A bit busier and more lively?

We're looking at chameleons next. Is that going to be ok do you think?

Really appreciate your time folks and stay kinky.

Unfortunately, you're going to get some creepy behaviour in most clubs as some (minority, luckily) men have no clue how to behave around women. Or they have a skewed belief that, just because a woman is in a swingers club, she must be "gagging for it" and would play with just anyone. So do be prepared that may happen.

There are plenty of clubs that offer the nightclub vibe but most have a variety of clientele, in various age groups. Some clubs do offer events for younger people, below 40- can't remember the name of those clubs though, sorry.

Chams is a very good club but again all depends on when you're thinking of going. Saturday nights, after 19.30, are couples and single ladies only nights, and they do get busy. However, Chams is dress down, so party in a towel or underwear.

I'd recommend Penthouse Playrooms in Dunstable - it's a big club with a good sized dance floor, own bar, loads of play rooms and couples only room. I've heard they do attract younger crowd, and you don't need membership for most events, you can get non-members tickets.

Another good one is The Attic, again big club with a variety of areas and good size dance floor. No membership needed.

People rave about Club Play in Blackpool, Xtasia in West Bromwich and Vanilla Alternative near Sandy, too, as good clubs. My experience does not confirm that, but maybe I just went to wrong events. Xtasia has got interesting hotel rooms on site.

Cheeseville, Somerset

Chams if you (both) want to dress down on arrival as it's compulsory, or Xtasia if you want to dress up.

Generally I prefer the latter as it has a nightclub vibe with plenty of options to enjoying fun either just together or with others.

But it's horses for courses. Both have good websites so you can have an online look and there's also plenty of reviews in the club section on here.

I don’t know if the Chic events are still going on- they were hosted at the Vanilla Alternative and they are geared for the younger crowd. Look them up- photos looked very promising. Shame I’ve always been too old for them, even when I joined and was an athlete with a body to match! 😂😂😂

We know exactly what you mean, they can feel sleezy, especially when people start following you around.

We've left many times early because its not felt right.

We would recommend Townhouse, they have a couples event that has a lovely relaxed vibe.

Good luck with your journey. X

We love Chameleons, an old time favourite of ours. However its an old school club and you may find a tad of the element you're trying to avoid there too. Don't get me wrong the staff vigorously stand against bad behaviour and breaches of the rules. But creepiness is subjective and the creepy vibes/behaviour you dont like may not be exactly against the rules. Sometimes that creepiness is more just the vibe and people. I would definitely avoid the hot tubs in Chameleons based on what you said. I think if you go to Chameleons your best bet for vibe and reduced creepiness (of which I think you're insinuating) would be a Saturday. Although Sat is couples and singles night so not much cop if you are looking for single gents.

Personally may I suggest you try Puple Mamba Nottingham? The place has a good reputation and maybe more of the vibe and people you're looking for.

At the end of the day we find its just best to get around, try different clubs and parties/nights to find your thing. It's out there, we have a really good variety out on the scene.

Chic is now being held in Lincolnshire, at the new club Mirage.

Chams is a good club.

I’d also highly recommend Liberty Elite. Look at hosted events such as Naughties, Hot Wife Club, Secret House or VV/V2V.

Purple Mamba and Liberty Elite would be our suggestions, we've had great nights at both.

Make a weekend away of it.

Bristol/ Daventry

Go on couples nights. Avoid single guy nights. They are much quieter and often have the “creepy” and “wanking dead” not to mention the lower end of the scale entitled guys who feel they’ve paid their money and are owed/have been taken advantage of (they don’t see how crowded couple and single lady nights are which is why they are charged more!).

As for busy, fun and a younger crowd;

I love le boudoir in London. It’s classy, a great crowd and they screen all members and attendees well. Penthouse playrooms is also excellent but a little further away.

Given you’re in wales check out Club Love, Riot and No Strings in Bristol, Remix in Swindon and private parties in the meets and party sections. Socials wise, the Bristol Social is excellent!! Amazing hosts and a great busy crowd.

Chams is not for me, I tend to find it a bit of a sex pub. It’s a little casual and laid back for my taste. But people love it and it’s on your doorstep. Again, try couples nights.

We hope you find what you’re looking for!

Xx

Op you need to pick the event which appeals to you both. Unfortunately no night at a club guarantees the fun or clientele which you are looking for nothing is ever easy even in the swingers world

We'd recommended going to couples nights only. Chameleons is OK, one of the better clubs in our opinion. We're going back for a second time this weekend ourselves.
