The ones we've seen and participated in at clubs have always been protected. Some guys try and not rubber up but they get short shrift ! I (James) always watch carefully to make sure those guys who Isobel wants to fuck are fully protected!

Only been to a few but they've all been protected .. and it's your choice at the end of the day. It does mean changing if moving between partners, something I'm not sure guys (even some women) think about.

Ive done literally hundreds maybe thousands of gb.. everyone has been safe.. I have someone making sure the guys are keeping condoms on.

I always take my own condoms as then I know they haven't been tampered with x

Got to confess I have issues about this kind of policing from clubs. I simply don’t believe it’s something they should be trying to impose on others. By all means recommend it. Provide free condoms if they wish.

After that adults should be left to choose.

It depends when this was really. People seem to be more open to bareback sex these day. Or at least more accepting of others willingness to do so.

10 years ago taking this site as an example was very anti bareback. any mention of bareback sex on these forums was shouted down straight away. Some clubs were the same.

We do insist though on condoms for anal and they must be changed before vaginal.

We do take PReP, have all the vaccinations and get regular checks but they don’t prevent cystitis which puts a kibosh on everything.

Oral was unprotected but sex was protected.

I was a bit anxious about oral being unprotected

i have to say in 30 years of doing this, I've never ever seen oral protected in a group or even club situation. As a woman I'm much more at risk from catching anything orally than a guy is from me giving him anything..

We were told recently by the clinic it's almost impossible...

Abstinence is the only real safe sex... everything else is only safer

The only experience I have as a participant was almost 20 years ago and it was I am embarrassed to admit in somewhat a professional capacity.

I was one of a small group of men being paid for the express purpose of providing entertainment to group of ladies. We all used condoms for everything,which included oral. But that was the {¬yZM=¬} in the industry or at least it was with the agency I worked for.

I think most people do use condoms except for oral.

Why is that?

Well most of the big nasties are tricker to transfer via oral. Not impossible but it is perceived to be very low risk.

Of course if you go off videos you will see more bareback, but not everyone videos their sex life and indeed the more risk averse who use condoms may also be more risk averse to having footage of themselves on the internet for evermore.

So whilst not a direct link you would expect those with a lower risk threshold to show more.

I have no evidence for this but I wonder if bareback will be making something of a comeback in years to come as HPV vaccinated people filter into the scene and the dawn of PRep means that peoples perceptions of risk will be lower.

Yes there are still some very nasty nasties out there. But with the chemical arsenal increasing does that give people more confidence whether correct or not?

Safest sex is masturbation after which there are degrees of safety.

Some things other than condoms are easy to acquire.

Everyone who has multiple partners should get vaccinated against Hepatitis A and B as well as MPox.

This gives a level of protection.

As a couple we both take PrEP during periods of swinging (as now) and as you need regular STD checkups to get the 3 month prescription this adds another level of protection.

The use of Doxy-Pep adds an other level if you’re really concerned.

Taking all these with condoms gives you as total a protection as you can get.

Personally though if you are that paranoid about protecting yourself perhaps swinging isn’t for you!
